Baan Chiang Mai Hostel

The owner Mr. O was lovely and friendly. The location was perfect for staying in the Old City. We really liked the old Lanaa style of the property and all renovations are in keeping with that style. Very clean.

I was comfortable sleeping in the bed but my sister has hip issues and the bed was too hard for her. That’s typical of Thai beds.

The room had what it needed, a big double bed, plugs, towel and a private bathroom.

I didn’t feel very secure there as the hotel wasn’t locked for the night properly. It was just the regular balcony type of door which I closed myself before going to bed. And the bedroom door had a bolt, however my room was on ground floor just in front of the entrance door so it had easy access. That being said the area felt safe enough and nothing bad happened but I wouldn’t have left any valuables in the room when going out. The bed was big which was nice however very hard, but alright for the price I suppose. The bathroom was a toilet size with the shower head just above the toilet and a sink next to it. So make sure to use the toilet before using the shower as everything will be wet afterwards. There was a fan there so it did dry overnight. Quite dark in the room too as the windows overlooked other rooms or the hallway do the curtains were drawn at all times. The room had a fan so the heat wasn’t an issue at all. The owner was very accommodating, and came around to the hotel so that I could check in later in the evening and was very responsive via email prior to my stay 😊

Thai style acommodation with living room with fridge and electric kettle located in old city of Chiang Mai. Good price value.

location is great as it’s just a stone’s throw from Cannabis Cafe which was holding a conference then.

power point placement was a little strange, but I’m just nitpicking because there isn’t anything else worth mentioning.

Friendly owner, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated room. Great value for money.

Could not connect to wifi. location is ok but next time will prefer to stay near the west gate
