Great resort and staff. Loud music nearby echos through the resort.

We love everything about this hotel! It is loud at night but we were warned before booking and wore noise cancelling headphones at night. The amenities, location, service, pool, my kids loved the pool bar… so beautiful. The rooms were small but clean.

The bamboo bungalows are simply adorable! Very authentic Thai experience staying here. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The view at the restaurant was amazing, as was the food. Overall this place exceeded the photos we viewed online. We’ll be back soon!

"Exotic, facing the sea"

10.0

I had the opportunity to visit this very pleasant and charming hotel. The cabins are covered in bamboo, very interesting, comfortable, with beautiful furniture and an excellent bathroom with good amenities. It has a very pleasant pool and a place for massages, facing the sea. The restaurant is charming, with a beautiful view. Very interesting on the island of Phi Phi Don, for those who also want to enjoy the hotel.

Best Personnel ever, however, noisy every night - due to the clubs nearby

All good. But noice is not good in the nights. You should contact the government to do something about this, should all be silent at midnight.

"Should be 5*"

10.0

This should be 5 * !! I do not understand these reviews ! the place is beautiful.. Pool 10/10 , food 10/10 , on the beach , free kayaks to paddle round to monkey bay , lovely breakfast , array of choice , - Bit out the way but that said it takes 10 mins to walk round to the bars and restaurants. The hotel is near a noisy beach club at night which does let it down hence rhe fact it should have a higher rating .. the bass is quite loud . However i slept like a baby ! beds sooo comfy . Bathroom small but just what’s required ! We loved this little bamboo paradise ! xx Must stay here !

"Leave it on Instagram where it belongs - AVOID!"

4.0

We stayed at Cocoa Beach for three nights, we were due to stay longer on Phi Phi but decided to cut our stay short. Hotel is very much as you see on Instagram but in reality the experience is nothing like that. The bamboo chalets you stay in are very small indeed with no wardrobe space to hang your clothes, Bathroom is small but has a good shower and good supply of hot water. The bamboo chalet experience is like staying in a tent in reality and do suffer a lot with mosquitoes, very creaky and because they are so close together you can hear everything your neighbours are doing, watching TV, nuptials or even boiling the kettle . I wouldn’t like to be in one of the chalets if a fire broke out. The beach is of sharp shell type sand so not that nice and the sea is quite muddy and murky not really pleasant for swimming in although it does sit in what could be an idyllic bay location. Next to the hotel are some derelict buildings and behind the restaurant appears to be a refuge area, the hotel does suffer a lot with plaques of flies. We only went once for breakfast although there was a good selection of foods everything is covered in flies and we decided not to eat. The flies drove you mad around the pool or at the bar - everywhere. The hotel closes down about 9:30 pm so no bar drinks or snacks after that which is disappointing . There is a price list in the room telling you that should you require an extra towel, bottle of water, extra toilet roll etc is in addition to pay for and they make this very clear to you when you check in at reception. The price list includes everything from a toilet seat to a front door - very unusual and defo a first for me in a hotel. Sadly the stories that you read on Instagram regarding the noise from the nightclub is very true. The noisiest is from the Zeus club directly across the bay, it is very very difficult to sleep with a constant boom boom noise. The hotel does supply free ear defenders , about the only thing that is feee. if you are staying this hotel I strongly recommend you ask for a chalet in row six which is the furthest back. Thankfully the club does turn off the music at about three 3.30 but sadly the Resident Cockrell starts at 4 am along with the squawking monkeys and fighting cats. , along with small animals running on the food and within the structure of the chalet - could be quite traumatic for some folk. You’ll be very lucky to get any sleep whatsoever at this resort. We did return to our room one night to find mice droppings on the bedlinen and some nights you could hear the mice in your room, well will assume they are mice and not larger rodents. The pool area does look quite nice, all be it the pool is not very clean and could do with some basic maintenance to bring it up to a reasonable and acceptable standard. Hotel is clearly driven by income and they are very strict on you not bringing any food or drink into the hotel, otherwise they Charge you 1000 Bht. We actually saw them with a resident asking him to pay the fine The room is quite dimly lit which for most people probably isn’t an issue but if you don’t have the best eyesight it is quite difficult to see what you’re doing. The TV does have a range of channels however is web-based and sadly the Internet is very poor which means the TV is continually buffering. You do get a supply of water in the room which is three small bottles and when that has been used, you will need to pay to have this replenished. There is no milk in the room for your tea ( and you only get 4 tea bags for your stay) or coffee and when we asked if they could supply some, they told us that they don’t drink coffee or tea with milk and therefore this is not provided, that gives you an idea of what to expect. They did kindly bring me a pot of milk and asked me to sign to pay for it, which was the last straw. Even on check out you have to stand in reception while they go and check your room for missing items or breakages - I chose to ignore this instruction and left and have to say I would never return.
