Liberty Lodge was really nice place to stay with really helpful owner. It had two double bedrooms which is quite rare. Nice and clean. Easy to park right next to lodge. Had a few basics to cook with, tea and coffee. Nicely equipped kitchen. Utility room. Good bathrooms. We liked all the info and takeaway leaflets on the table, quite rare nowadays but actually really useful. A lovely location with walks straight into the forest. A good pub within walking distance in Sling. Easy drive or walk to Coleford.

The temperature was a bit up and down but the owner acknowledged this when we checked in and how to resolve..i.e. They provide lots of heaters, has the central heating and lots of blankets so it is easy to get comfortable. Very minor the TV wasn't tuned into the main channels which was minor annoyance when you first turned on, if you wanted to watch something immediately. But was all setup on wifi so you can just use all the apps (iplayer, itvx etx) to watch TV, just took a minute or two to get going. I didn't raise with owner as so minor.

Great facilities, quiet area, responsive and helpful host

The lodge is on a private estate in a quiet location. It would be advisable to get directions from the owners as our sat nav sent us to the wrong place. It is ideally situated for the interesting puzzlewood and clearwell caves ( closed tues/weds.) Plus other attractions are all near by. We found the lodge to be comfortable and well equipmented with Netflix available. All in all a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate recommending Liberty Lodge.
