We loved the quietness and privacy of the accommodation, and how well-appointed our room was. Edith and Carrie were exceptionally welcoming, as were their two dogs, Ziggy Stardust and Dolly Parton. Carrie's homemade lemon meringue pie was to die for.

There was a problem with the lock on our bedroom door which meant that it was almost impossible to unlock from the outside, which was an issue.

The owners called me straight after the booking was placed, confirmed the stay and talked through some admin things.

Fiddly locks, very basic furnishing. We booked another accommodation in the same area for the second night of our trip, and the quality was much better for the same price.
