"I am very satisfied, I will definitely go again."

10.0

The only thing I would like to mention is that if you want to order food from outside, there is no place to sit and eat in the lobby, or rather, there is a place, but it is not allowed. Everything else is very good.

"you cant beat the quality and value"

We frequently stay here and genuinely appreciate it, as it is centrally located near the shops, Pier 39, and other excellent destinations. Additionally, I am not compensated for this endorsement., lol...

"Would not return"

6.0

Probably one of the worse hotels we stayed in over the course of our trip. It's a big hotel, soulless with basic rooms and common areas. We waited over an hour to get checked in, once in the room we were told was great with a balcony very underwhelmed. Bedroom itself was a good size, the bed sheets were old and worn. The bathroom and toilet were awful, very cramped and outdated. Breakfast was included, we didn't have it any of the days we stayed as the line to get in to the dining room was at least 40 people long. Parking charges are an absolute joke, 60 dollars per night when there is other local parking close by for 50% less. The only good thing about this hotel is Quinn on reception, super helpful he is am absolute star which I hope Riu appreciate. We would not return.

"Great place to stay"

Have stayed here many times and still enjoy it greatly. Great location for Fisherman's Warfe. Great breakfast included in room. We cruise and whenever someone wants suggestions for where to stay before a cruise from San Francisco I always recommend this property.

"Good hotel, in need of some improvements"

8.0

Facilities fee seems outrageous for the returned value. Two water bottles as welcome pack, and that's all for the not cheap daily fee? Gymnasium is sub-standard, very packed and no real space to do exercises, and with some machines broken the whole 8 days stay, too. Wi-Fi is OK, but that's all that can be said for the facilities fee. You either have to lower the fee, or make it worth the extra price, 'cause welcome water and Wi-Fi (and a good gym) are almost standard in 4-stars hotels. At the same time, air conditioning/heating system in the room is noisy to say the least, impossible to maintain switched on the whole night unless you want to be sleepless. The small minibar fridge is noisy as well, and the water flow from the tap in the washbasin is so low that it's almost unusable. On the positive side, having remarked the above issues the room is otherwise quite comfortable. Front desk is competent and efficient, and breakfasts are generally good, except they are somewhat very repetitive with almost no variation from day to day.

"Good location."

6.0

This hotel is in a great location for exploring San Francisco and is conveniently located just back from Fisherman’s Wharf. Rooms were large, beds were comfy and they were clean. The hotel is immaculate. The breakfast was a buffet and it was excellent with every type of food you could think of and it never seem to run out so you were not waiting for refills. However, we found that there was an inflexibility from the service. People were perfectly polite but we often heard, thats not our policy, quoted at us. Breakfast felt manic with staff barking where you could and could not go. Very odd considering it was a buffet breakfast. Check out was at 12 and if you wanted a late check out it was 35 dollars per hour which is worth noting if you were seeking a late check out.

"Great location, nice hotel"

8.0

We stayed here middle of November. The only fault we had with hotel was that we paid extra for room upgrade advertised as ‘Superior King - Panoramic windows and amazing views’ the first room we were given on the 2nd floor gave us a view of the roof. We went to discuss this with the reception and what was advertised with the upgrade, and were told they can’t always accommodate that, they did offer us another room 3rd floor, which had a view of the pool area, which was slightly better. But we did still feel like we never quite got what was advertised/paid for. The room was clean, bed was extremely comfortable, and everything in the room was in good working order. Housekeeping visited everyday. On check in also, we had to pay a deposit/fees totalling over $500, we did expect to have to pay these, but not that high. But the deposit does get refunded back to your account quickly after check out. Despite those hiccups, The hotel is in a perfect location close to fisherman’s wharf. The hotel was lovely, clean, and breakfast was faultless. Breakfast is very busy, but we found it to be very organised, the staff were great, and we were found a seat, and food constantly refreshed with a great selection to set us up for a full day of sight seeing. We would stay here again, without paying for room upgrade.

"Great hotel, moody staff !"

8.0

We had a great first visit to San Francisco, the hotel was lovely & clean, beds were so comfortable, rooms were cleaned every day & fresh towels , however , the staff in the restaurant when we went for breakfast were so rude, especially the woman who was on the computer checking us in , she spoke to us & other people Like we were stupid , I understand it’s very busy in there but there is no need to talk to people how she does , also, some of the other staff did the same, very obvious they weren’t happy in their work as they never smiled, never made conversation & there is a stupid rule that all of your party have to be there if you wanted to be seated together , we were with some friends who were little bit later than us coming down for breakfast & we weren’t allowed to go on a table for 4 because there was only 2 of us , I explained they would be here shortly but they wouldn t let us so we had to sit separately ! ridiculous if you ask me !

The thing that reduced the score was our bedroom was overlooking the bus depot and every morning from 04.30 onwards the reversing bleepers of the buses woke us
