Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

We never were aware of RIU, we had never even heard of RIU. Going forward with any travels, I will definitely look to RIU first at your various locations.

Hotel is very nice and located walking distance to Pier39. Rooms are massive and clean. Bathroom very roomy as well but lack counter space on vanity sink to place toiletries. Shower could be updated to glass door instead of curtains. And the light in the shower area is very dim. Also the light above the vanity is on motion sensor so it’ll go off when brushing teeth. Wish it was manual so that was a little annoying having to turn light back on every few minutes. Breakfast buffet was very good. Plenty of good options. Wish they had an omelette station though. Overall enjoyed my stay there.

We were very pleased with our room, which faced the pool and had a small balcony. The staff were all very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and was included in the room cost.

Stayed for 2 nights before our cruise. Uber from airport cost $70 reception were very welcoming offering us a bottle of water each on check in. Hotel is in great location within 5 minute walk to main attractions at pier. Breakfast was very good and was included, hot and cold choices plus unlimited Tea/Coffee. Uber to cruise port was $8 but it is walkable in about 15/20 min along flat promenade. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Hotel's location is absolutely wonderful. It is a very short walk to Pier 39 venue, to Big Bus tours, to Bay Cruises. You have it all there. Amazing restaurants, Historic Jefferson street, Cable Car, Aquarium, 30mins trip by ship to Sausalito. Do not miss the Big Bus Routs to Muir Woods and Wine tours and Ask for Mr. Grady to take you there. He is the BEST! tour guide. RIU Hotel keeps its promises. Clean facilities, professional and friendly Reception Advisors - Thank you to Quinn and Katie, who were welcoming and extremely helpful. If I am in San Francisco again, there is no question where I will stay - it will be RIU. Thank you to all who work hard to keep this venue running.

Best in class Breakfast for the 6 members of our family (aged 6 to 55 years) Near cable car trolley. Tour offered by Big Bus (Hop On Hop Off) is of great value

We just completed our 2nd stay at the RIU Fisherman's Wharf. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Hotel is clean, breakfast is a great experience, and we used the outdoor pool this time. It is easy to fall in love with this location, hope to be back soon!

The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. Awesome location. The bathtub was very slippery & shower head was not good

From the location, drive-up drop-off area, nicely designed contemporary lobby to the exceptional continental breakfast being included we were pleasantly surprised by it all! Very impressive all the way around. The room itself was nice and the bed was amazingly comfortable! The one area inside the room that was the outdated bathtub, old tiled wall and popcorn ceiling. Don't get me wrong it was nice and clean, but it could use a little refresh. We would stay there again, no problem. The last thing I would recommend is to stretch and tighten the rug in front of the elevator doors. That immediately makes the feel of the place seem dated. Again, not an issue for us, but something to consider.
