Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

Nice hotel next to the Wharf. Had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Comfortable room, great lounge areas both inside and outside.

My first time in San Francisco and what a wonderful place with the bonus of staying in a fabulous and luxurious hotel. Buffet breakfast was superb; everything was delicious, with minimal waiting. Everything was just perfect; thank you.

My sister in law and myself wanted a fun, adventurous and relaxing San Francisco vacation. It starts with where you stay. The Riu had great reviews, was in a supurb location for folks who want to walk or take mass transit or Waymo only. The thing that sealed the deal was the INCLUDED breakfast. It was a fantastic start to each of our big days. The protien infusion of bacon and eggs along with some carbs, fruit, and coffee kept us going until mid afternoon. We only needed one other meal each day. Some other hotels near ours looked run down or not as secure. We felt very safe at this clean, busy, well cared for hotel. We are even looking at Riu other locations as we look forward to planning our next adventure. Oh, and the beds were great for a couple middle aged ladies who walked ALL the hills of San Francisco! Highly recommend.

Excellent location, clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast Buffet was one of the best we have experienced.

We selected Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman Wharf for its proximity to San Franciso Cruise Ship Port, with the added benefit of easy access to Fisherman Wharf. [Also, we have very positive experiences with Hotel Riu sites in Costa Rica.] We were very satisfied with the hotel! If we take future cruises out of San Francisco, we very probably will stay at this Hotel Riu again.

Wonderful hotel. Pleasant staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable.

Arrived 2:00 pm, tired, with 4 suitcases. All we needed was to leave our loggage and leave to visit the city. Ctistina (who defenetly speaks spanish) and didn't want to do so, was so tough. She only wanted to charge an extra fee for early check in.

Loved the hotel with the beautiful lobby and rooms. The check in desk employee was very kind and informative of local things to see. It was a short distance walk to Fisherman's wharf and Pier check in for Alcatraz tour. Breakfast buffet was amazing with so many choices for both adults and children. Highly recommend staying here. It was more expensive than usual since a conference was same weekend.

Fantastic location however sound proofing at the hotel is diabolical so don’t stay here if you want to get some sleep. We could hear every step the person in the room above us took. Cars beeping outside at 6am, you could hear bins being pushed around outside at a similar time. Very poor experience sadly.

Very efficient and courteous staff. Overall good service. The services offered were good. Location was close to wharf, hence conveneient.
