This is a great stop over place to stay. Fits the bill all around. Good price, comfortable, clean and warm. Shower wasn’t the best. Not as powerful as we are used to, but overall great value for money

Easy to find , on arrival Oliver, the manager, made us very welcome, explained all the details of our stay, meals, room access etc. the family room was perfect, large and spotless. The room itself, even with all of the windows open was still very warm, a fan was provided but hotels going forward need to start looking at air conditioning especially as temperatures continue to rise. The menu choice was extremely good value and we were pleasantly surprised when are food arrived, no long wait, hot and plenty of it. The serving staff were very helpful and when we requested a well chilled bottle of white went out of their way and the wine came in an ice bucket with plenty of ice. The shower in the bathroom left a lot to be desired, very weak flow, and the sink had been fitted by someone of very short stature, virtually impossible to stand and shave at., plus the plunger washer was missing so the sink would not fill with water. A few annoyances, but all in all a pleasant stay with freindly and helpfull staff

Lovely and clean accommodation, quiet location, no motorway noise, and not far from major routes. Bar and restaurant next door for drinks & food after a day out, with good prices on meals.

Nice quiet location

We booked the family room whilst on a trip to the Peak District a little further than we thought it would be but thats because the map shows as the crow flies and the roads arnt very fast in that area so took 50 mins from dovedale. The room is a great space the kids have a little separate bit with two singles and with a second tv so gives mum and dad a bit of piece , shame it doesn’t have a proper door or even a curtain so can’t hear the tv but otherwise great idea. The room was very nicely presented better than a lot of travelodges. The bathroom was a little dated but clean and tidy. Tbh my only gripe would be the shower was a bit useless as no power behind the spray but very commen in hotels they just seem to not have the power when multiple occupancy. Otherwise perfect place for a budget stay. The adjoining pub was fab, nice food and decent prices and they had a pub quiz which was fun. For the low price we paid I was really pleasantly surprised. 👍👍

The room was large and clean and beds super comfortable. Bit of a weird way to check in reception is in pub and hotel is part of building across the street. Pleasantly surprised
