Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort

This place was terrible and so was the service in the lobby. The rooms are not very nice even though we were told they were remodeled. I had a suite about 900-1000 sqft. The bathrooms were old, smelled and the shower was cheap and had an old bath tub in it. There was no Spa on the grounds, no room service, no bathrooms close to the gym so when you were working out and needed a rest room you had to travel 2 floors to get one. That made another long wait for the elevator to get to you as they are always jammed packed. Evlevator wait time in the Sheraton could be up to 10-15 minutes both ways. It’s crazy. Only one restaurant and it was fair but limited menu and always a line to order for the pool. Took 40 minutes to get 3 fish tacos. Terrible hotel, very surprised Bonvoy treated clients to this kind of sub service. Never stay here again

This is in a prime location in Waikiki and the reason we chose this resort. But we will not stay here again. The activities hut is a joke- every morning he has a sign out that says they’re sold out of beach chairs and umbrellas. Yet, there are empty chairs on the beach as well as tons stacked against the wall. He also wouldn’t rent a surfboard to us, not sure why. It was better anyways since we rented by the day at a local shop in town. But what is the point of an Activity hut if they won’t do anything? We have travelled all the islands in Hawaii and this was the most disappointing resort- the service is not very good and is over run with clueless tourists. We just prefer classier resorts and better hospitality.

The location was perfect and within walking distance of restaurants, stores, and the beach.

The pool hours should be extended for those who like to swim early or late.
