The O Spa

This place is a joke. Customer service is non-existent. They do not care about you. First of all, they market it as a "clothing optional spa. Not the case at all. They make you put bottoms on. Whatever that is the least of the issues. They have no staff at the facility. I saw two cleaning staff and they left shortly after we arrived. The office in the lobby was a ghost town. My wife tired to call them before we arrived and received no call back. Our friends did the same thing with the same results. They finally answered the phone or got a call back after the third attempt. The person who answered the phone had a horrible attitude and basically said "well no one answers the phone until after 3 pm". In what universe is that acceptable? So we arrive and you get a code to enter the facility as well as your room. The code for every room had the room # in it!! A 6 year old could access any room if you understand the sequence. I had to go out to my car three times and every time I found the main entrance door left ajar with the dead bolt lock sticking out so that any random person could just stroll in. I found that same door in the same condition at 8am the next morning; so I assume it was propped open the whole night. So unprofessional and highly dangerous. The neighborhood was questionable at best. The apartment in disrepair across the street (lll call it "Meth Manor") had a cast of questionable residence there which just infuriated everyone. NO REGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GUESTS!!! Two of our friends were celebrating their anniversary. After sitting by the pool they went to get ready for their special dinner. They try to open their door with the code and it doesn't work. They attempt to call the "management" and after several attempts, they call back. Our friend address the problem and the person on the phone has the audacity to say "Oh, that happens a lot". With no follow up statement. As if that is acceptable service for any facility. Management finally had to get one of the cleaning staff to come back to open the door with a key but not before they had to stop and buy supplies. Needless to say they were late for their anniversary dinner and plans after. So unprofessional and disrespectful. The two barbeques on the property were death traps. Both failed while we attempted to use them. Ruined a perfectly good Tri tip. People had dogs running around / in and out of the mineral pool. So disgusting. This dump is supposed to be a "spa". To add insult overtly poor service, we found an ant invasion in our room the next morning. My wife was beside her self. Again we called the "management". They did not at all. At that point we decided to leave that dump. It wasn't until we were on the road that they got back to us. They said they would get someone there to "clean up the ants" AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. They offered to comp us for another night. We told them we would never return but a partial refund would be acceptable. Their response was crickets. I now need to go to a legitimate spa to recover form the trauma of this sad excuse for a spa. Stay as far away from this place as humanly possible. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!

We have stayed at the O’ Spa before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however; our last visit here was a total letdown. When we arrived for check-in our room was not ready until 6pm in the evening due to the previous guest flooding the floors somehow. We waited patiently until it was cleaned. The pool was in rough condition as there appeared to be dark spotting all over the walls. Mold? Not sure but it was not like this before. We understand that the resort is pet friendly, but when we arrived and entered the hotel, we walked past several dog turds that remained there for most of the day. It was an absolute eye sore. Lastly, our room had very large cockroaches in the kitchen that would appear when we would turn the lights off in the kitchen. We had to throw all our food away that we had left on the table to enjoy at a later time. The O’ Spa used to be one of our favorite hotels to visit in Palm Springs. Ownership and customer service has always been outstanding, however; the cleanliness and quality has severely dropped with time. Truly unfortunate.

The O spa has unfortunately gone downhill. The mattresses are pretty bad and the rooms are pretty beat up overall. We stayed in two rooms. One had no toilet paper holder and neither bathroom has shelving to place toiletries. Shower head fell off while showering. The big pool was visibly dirty when we arrived. The communal kitchen was never cleaned for the 6 days I was there. Dishwasher doesn’t work either. The worst part was there are not staff working to help guests and the owner doesn’t respond to text messages. Rick should either invest and get the place cleaned up or sell to someone who cares about the rooms and servicing guests.

Brian and Chris just knocked it out of the park providing us with an amazing experience right at the bar. The drinks were great, the atmosphere was great, and the weather was perfect. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and relatives.

Beautiful grounds, loved the big pool to swim in with the statue of Buddha watching over things. Very quiet and relaxing. Room was ok, bed was comfortable.

I love this place. So peaceful and welcoming. I'll be back again! :-)

Perfect hotel

Retro charm. Would go again!

We had to drive through homes filled with trash, saw a homeless man sleeping on a mattress in a tree, there was another man who looked like he was high or drunk walking down the street. All parking was on a gravel curb, there was a gravel lot next door which was filled with broken lumber, an old gutted car, a window of the spa was missing, and a home made fire pit. The front door had a ring security button which we pushed and no one answered. The double doors were locked and a phone number posted to call another number, so I called it. The guy answered, I told him I had a reservation but everything was locked up tight. My sister said it’s kind of sketchy out here and I said I would like to cancel our reservation. He said they are the highest rated spa in the area, then became rude saying good luck getting a refund, called us rude and said they didn’t want us staying with them. I did not feel safe standing on the steps calling a posted number on the door, let alone being on lock down and unable to return from the 80th birthday party late at night and being expected to stand on the steps to call a number to get into our room. My sister took pictures if your interested in seeing what I’ve described. We went over to Desert Hot Springs Spa and got their last room. At least our car was behind a security gate with a code to come and go as needed.
