Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

It was an experience to visit Maui in the middle of the Kona storm. Even with all the challenges that came with the weather, Maui's beauty still shone through. I have to say "Kudos" to Hyatt Maui for being able to juggle and "weather" through the storm to keep the guests happy. The feathered friends had to stay indoors, the Swan Court operated under not-so-ideal circumstances, our Luau was cancelled, some amenities were not available....I am thankful for the Hyatt crew for making our experiences memorable despite the challenges. I am also thankful that the sun came out and we were able to experience what makes the resort so special. Regarding the room itself, I originally wanted to stay at the Lahaina Tower. Thank you, Bessie for booking us this Napili Tower room. It was spectacular!

This was not the time to vacation to HI because of the torrential rain & floods. We ended our trip 2 days early because we were tired of the rain and trying to find something to do in the rain. The carpet in our room was soaking wet. They had to vacuum up excess water. We then had a dehumidifier running in our room nonstop the entire time we were there. Bought air fresheners to try to cover up the musty smell, While the resort is beautiful, they were not prepared to accommodate their guests during this weather disaster. They were literally sweeping water out the doors, generators running all over, restaurants shut down except for takeout or delivery, Breakfast buffet was takeout containers 3 days in a row and good luck finding a place to sit and eat it. If rain is predicted, re-book your trip to a different date. I wish we would have. It was an expensive trip that we could not enjoy. We only used the pool for a few hours 1 day as that was the only time we saw the sun. I'm sure had we been able to enjoy our time there, i would have written a whole different review,

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa—it truly exceeded our expectations and made our Maui trip unforgettable! We are a family of 6 and we were visiting this location to celebrate our 18-year anniversary and my daughter's 8th birthday. My husband and I were traveling with 3 teenage sons and our 8-year-old daughter. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the property is. The lush tropical grounds, waterfalls, and unique touches like flamingos and penguins create such a fun, resort-style atmosphere. It feels like a little paradise within paradise. And the location right on Kaanapali Beach is unbeatable—perfect for swimming, relaxing, and watching incredible sunsets every night. We enjoyed the classes that were offered by the hotel like hula dance lessons! We stayed during Easter and the hotel had a fun easter egg hunt and easter activities for the kids! Our room was very comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view that made waking up each morning a highlight. We were complementarily upgraded to two ocean front suites that were fully stocked with drinks and snacks! The staff added such a personal touch by adding a birthday cake for my daughter's 8th birthday, birthday decorations, chocolate covered strawberries and wine for our 18th anniversary! The two adjoining rooms were super cozy, and housekeeping kept everything spotless throughout our stay. The pool area is a total standout—there’s something for everyone, from relaxing spots to a fun waterslide. We spent so much time there and loved the easy access to the beach as well. You also have access to the pool at the resort next door which was a fun added benefit. It’s perfect whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family. The staff really made the experience exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they care about making your stay special. They were all so accommodating and the general manager, Connor was truly an angel! It actually felt like I was on vacation, which doesn't always feel that way when we travel since we are traveling with 4 kids. Dining was also great, with plenty of options on-site. Yes, it’s on the pricier side (as most of Maui is), but the convenience and quality made it worth it for us—especially breakfast with a view! We were gifted GOH passes and we were able to utilize the Club Lounge during our stay, which saved us a ton of money and the food was delicious! We enjoyed getting our daily shave ice cones from Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice truck that was on the property. Overall, I would absolutely without a doubt stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maui. Connor Mowat went out of his way to make our stay exceptional, and we will forever cherish these beautiful memories! This was our first time staying at a Hyatt and we are now lifetime customers!! Our stay was absolutely amazing, it was the perfect mix of relaxation, fun, and classic Hawaiian beauty. Easily a 100 out of 5 experience! Paying over $750 per night, I expect simple things like the coffee maker to work. Tea bags to be good for use (all of them were wet at some point and got dry and sticky unuseable). As an Explorist, I have rewards to the Club Access but u was told they were full so my family and I didn’t get to enjoy it.

Beautiful hotel and great amenities. Our room had a great view of the mountains and was very clean and modern. Resort food choices were excellent including a great breakfast buffet.

We chose to go to the Hyatt before our stay at the Vacation Club next door. The weather was uwfull! The Hyatt did very well minimizing the rain affects. Food service was disappointing. They charged regular prices for emergency food boxes.

Hotel is nice and lobby is spacious . Pool decent size and lots of chair but facing the pool limit to others excess . Nice garden and swans . Room decent , water available , bed pretty comfy . Resort fees $48 parking $40 on top of the rate. So be prepare . Food in the restaurant overpriced and service charge Beofre tips. Ridiculous.

It rained the entire week we were there. Despite all of the torrential rain that caused so many issues throughout the property, the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and ensured we were taken care of. The grounds were beautiful, the food was great, rooms were clean, and the shops were perfect to find souvenirs. They had everything we needed. The valet was probably the only thing I thought was delayed constantly but we had a great time.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were home. We were welcomed by valet/bellman and given a welcome lei at the reception desk. Everything within this hotel is well thought out and it shows. The entryway is stunning (and entertaining as there are several PENGUINS who reside there!). The staff also brings out several parrots each morning for guests to interact with. Upon entering our room, we were in AWE! It smelled SO good. Just like you'd expect Hawaii to smell! The shampoo, lotion, conditioner were all high quality and smelled amazing. The placement of everything was well thought out. We knew being a Hyatt, it would be nice, but this Hyatt was above and beyond our expectations. The food was incredible - delicious and fresh. The grounds were gorgeous - a large pool, waterslide, bridge, hot tub - all that overlooked the ocean. There is even a separate area that can be reserved for a private group gathering and weddings (which we saw one on our first night). There is a beautiful coastal trail that is gorgeous to walk. You can even walk down to Whaler's Village (great outdoor shopping mall with both upscale and affordable items). It's a short drive to so many amazing places on the island. This beautiful resort would be great for all ages - singles, couples, families. Highly recommend.
