Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark

Upon our arrival, the lobby was so loud that it was hard to hear the front desk staff. We were in the East Tower with a ballpark view. It was a near view of the ballpark however, the outside of the windows were so dirty that it was hard to look through to the ballpark. Also the street below throughout the night was very loud. We were on the 16th floor. The room is quite small and needs updated especially the bathroom. The bathtub/shower especially needs updated. The head of the shower was loose as well as the faucet. The elevators are horrific. There are 3 of them, however, only 2 were working when we were there. They are so small that if a person has any claustrophobic tendencies, you will not do well. If there is a baseball game going on when you are there, you will have to wait an eternity to get up to your room. We waited so long to get up to our room the afternoon that baseball game let out and then several hours later we wanted to go to dinner and finally had to walk down 16 flights of stairs because the elevator never came. When I texted a staff member about the elevator and us having to walk down the stairs, I received sorry for the inconvenience. The Brito that has breakfast in the morning, I suggest you either order off the menu or go somewhere else. Don’t get the Buffet, not worth the money. We will not stay at this Hilton again.

I stayed at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark for two nights on a recent business trip, and my experience landed somewhere between average and disappointing. On the positive side, the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which set a good tone upon arrival. My room in the west wing was quiet, and the bed was comfortable—both important when traveling for work. The towels also appeared newer and were clean. Unfortunately, cleanliness in the room itself was a major concern. It was immediately noticeable that the carpet had not been vacuumed, as there were sequins and other debris visible on the surface. I travel with disinfecting wipes as a precaution, and I’m glad I did—the wipe I used on surfaces came back visibly dirty. There was also men’s body hair in the shower and a used Q-tip left on the bathroom floor, which was pretty off-putting. Another issue was housekeeping. Despite not having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, my room was not serviced during my stay. This meant no coffee refills and no opportunity for the room to be cleaned up, which was disappointing given the initial condition. Interestingly, several coworkers attending the same summit had similar experiences, and some even had to go out and buy cleaning supplies themselves. We also noticed a lack of visible housekeeping staff in the hallways throughout our stay. Overall, while there are some positives—especially the staff and room quietness—the lack of cleanliness and inconsistent housekeeping would make me hesitant to stay here again without improvements.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at a Hilton property for a conference, and unfortunately, the second time I’ve had a disappointing experience. Within minutes of arriving, I noticed debris on the bed sheets and had to request a full change. The housekeeper assigned to replace them displayed a very unprofessional attitude, making rude comments throughout the process. During our stay, there was also a concerning incident involving a maintenance worker. My friend was in the room resting with the privacy sign on the door when a man—without any visible identification or hotel branding—entered the room unannounced to work on a Wi-Fi issue. He knocked once but did not give her the opportunity to respond. This was not only unprofessional but also alarming, especially for a woman alone in the room. Housekeeping issues continued throughout our stay. On one occasion, we had to request that our trash be emptied. During this interaction, the housekeeper behaved aggressively and directed a derogatory, body-shaming and racially charged insult at my friend. This type of language is completely unacceptable in any professional setting. While handling the trash, the housekeeper also threw an empty trash can across the room while my friend was present. Thankfully, a manager, Jeanette Cody, stepped in immediately to address the situation. She was professional, courteous, and ensured we received fresh towels and proper service. She was truly a bright spot during an otherwise frustrating stay. Additionally, the QR codes for the parking garage did not function properly for the entire four days, creating unnecessary inconvenience. While I do appreciate that one night’s stay and parking were comped, this experience fell far below expectations—especially given the price point. At this level, I would expect better cleanliness, professionalism, and overall guest experience. Basic amenities such as smart TVs with streaming options or even a clear channel guide would also be reasonable improvements. Overall, this stay did not meet the standards I associate with Hilton, and I hope these issues are taken seriously and addressed moving forward.

The view of the stadium was amazing. The room was clean and very comfortable

The staff was rude and didn’t seem to know what was going on. One person would tell you one thing and another person would tell you differently. When we got there they tried to say we were not going to get our room even though we book almost 3 weeks before our stay. Then all of a sudden they had our room. We paid with a different card at the downstairs lounge and then they charged the room card instead and we were supposed to have breakfast included and finally they did but the last morning they charged my card for it. I have called and left a message 2 times now and they are not returning my call at all. The staff has made it where we do not want to come back

How close it was to the ballpark, it’s right across the street, good food and drinks and SOME of the staff was helpful.

THEY LIED. i called twice about the parking garage and having speed bumps due to our lowered car and they said they DID NOT have speed bumps and we ended up ruining some stuff under the car. didn’t even get the room i booked because it “wasn’t ready” paid for a king room with a view and got stuck with a 2 bed no view room. TWO lights were broken in the room and NO TRASH BAGS.

Location to the ballpark was good

The shower didnt work properly, the sink leaked and the toilet barely flushed. At $400 a night everything should have worked flawlessly, we have stayed in cheap motels that had better working facilities
