Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel

While the room was clean and property fine, we forgot a few items in our closet, called within hours of checking out with no resolve. We left messages for housekeeping which were not returned. When we finally did connect with someone from housekeeping all we got was a “oh, I had your number down to call back,” followed by letting us know they didn’t “find” our items but would check housekeeping carts and call me the next day. Still waiting for that call 12 or so days later. And it’s worth noting it took 12 days to even connect with housekeeping from the initial voicemail, so we are nearly a month later with no follow up. Similar email communication directly to Marriott Bonvoy has gone unanswered despite promised follow up in 5-7 business days. I was initially optimistic given Marriott’s policy to retain lost items for up to 90 days and a promise to work with the guest to return items at my expense. Long story short, don’t forget anything at this hotel because it will either be thrown out or kept by staff.

The hotel was under construction and very dirty. The indoor pool was closed. There’s no bathrooms at the pool. Our air conditioner constantly went on and off loudly.

The stay itself was what I expected from a Marriott brand hotel. However, the general manager Chris Quilty decided to charge me 126 dollars for a “pet cleaning fee”, which is absurd, as I don’t have a pet. I have tried to call multiple times to have this issue rectified, but I keep getting the run around. It’s a terrible business practice and I will be reaching out to corporate, as this experience was very appalling. They deserve to know the individual running their hotel is being sketchy and charging fictitious pet cleaning fees. Very disappointed, as I’m a loyal Marriott platinum elite member.

First, Hotels.com and the Sheraton did not honor booking protection after I needed to modify a reservation and I was charged $1800 for 2 nights. The AC was terrible, the bed was uncomfortable and there was absolutely no ventilation in the room. They brought extra pillows that had pubic hairs on them so we had to get another set. The hallway smelled like mold and rotting food.

The WORST hotel EVER !!!!! If You’re here on business & have to get up early in the morning for work ! Do NOT STAY HERE !! The staff was nonchalant about the noise complaint. Kids screaming and running up and down the hallway for literally 3 hours straight! I Called the front desk and they said they would have someone “check it out” it still continued. I could not get ANY sleep! Parents aren’t watching or monitoring their kids I really feel like they just gave the kids a room to themselves. I am NOT happy whatsoever. I never want to come here EVER AGAIN !
