Everything was great expect for the service. And tv volume didn’t work too well

As a longtime Titanium Elite member, I am writing this review with significant disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North from July 22 to July 26, 2025. This experience regrettably fell far short of the standards I have come to expect from the Marriott brand. The most concerning issue was the lack of transparency about a major, ongoing hotel refurbishment. This critical information was not disclosed on the website at the time of my booking and was only communicated upon my arrival. A major renovation significantly impacts the guest experience, and this omission felt like a serious oversight. Operational issues continued to accumulate throughout my stay. I was told that activating a mobile key would require a 15-25 minute wait, a frustrating and unexpected delay. Furthermore, the television's cable channels were inoperable for my entire visit. Despite being assured on two separate occasions that the issue would be resolved within 30 minutes, it never was. Perhaps most disheartening was the overall lack of guest service and hospitality. Upon checkout, I raised these issues with the front desk but was offered no apology, service recovery, or compensation. The entire experience felt transactional, with a focus on collecting fees for the room and parking rather than on ensuring a comfortable and welcoming stay. I hope the hotel will address these issues, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property at this time.

Good Location and comfortable beds.

The place was under construction and the lobby was blocked off . When we walked in to the desk area, we weren't even sure the hotel was opened because it looked so bad. The pool was closed and we were asked to keep out curtains closed in case there were workers outside. For how bad the place looked, I was surprised the room rate wasn't discounted. They did offer to cancel our reservation but after driving across the county we were too tired to get back in the car which is on us. Not what you expect when you book a Marriot. I would have booked somewhere else if I knew about the construction.

Well first off, I had 2 rooms reserved, but when I arrived they only had me down for one room. Then I was advised that there was a $10 per day parking fee. Which I didn't understand because they have a wide-open uncovered/open parking lot in the front of the Hotel like most hotels and there was NO Valet parking, so I don't understand that per day charge. I was livid but was like oh well, and accepted the fact that I'm being charged for self-parking. Next thing was the TV in one of the rooms did not work. So, after 24hrs we requested to be moved to another room. There's only one exit/entrance to the hotel and they only have (2) elevators. We were on the 8th floor and one of the elevators only went up to the 5th floor for the first 2 days we were there. Finally, as I'm checking out they were about to charge me for 2 cars, after I CLEARLY stated at check-in that we only had ONE car. We drove 11hrs from Central Texas for a family reunion & this is NOT what I expected. We had (3) other groups of family members that were staying at this hotel & experienced similar issues during their stay as well.

I was not aware upon booking that this was under renovation and nothing worked, no Internet, no TV, no phone and had to switch rooms.

We didn't get the room we Booked, TV didn't work, pool was closed. the beds were so small and uncomfortable my wife and i couldn't even sleep together. spent 200$ for no sleep and tiny bed

We arrived in the afternoon to attend a business dinner in the evening. The hotel was undergoing renovation, which was disclosed when we made the reservation. The pool was closed. There were no lobby facilities. Construction workers were using elevators for which we were delayed accessing. At check-in there was only one working elevator for which we had to wait three cycles. Parking lot was cluttered with construction equipment and building materials. At check-out I asked them to waive the $10 parking fee to compensate for the inconvenience. They declined stating it was a “valid” charge. You know what else is valid? Changing the remaining hotels for this trip from Marriott to Hilton. Travel planned for the remainder of the year will be a minimum of $2,000. I hope Marriott needed the $10 that badly.

This property is under renovation. After the remodel is finish, this would be a great place to stay.

The bed was comfortable and new. The staff was as helpful as they could be.

Renovations happening. If I would have known that they were doing renovations we would not have stayed. We paid a lot for no television signal, poor internet, and no pool. Our room was newly renovated but the plugs didn't work throughout the room. We usually live to stay at this location, just not this time. Very disappointing.

Stayed here while in town for business. Place under heavy renovation so I get the mess. No bother, it was to be expected. However, the customer service also needs some heavy renovation. When I arrive, no one at desk. I stood for four minutes. A housekeeper came by, walked over to end of counter and hollered hey to a young man, sitting in back office in eyesight of the counter, but heavily engaged on his phone. He looked startled. He came out, little interaction with me, no discussion of the hotel with me. Nly comment was to ask if I wanted one or two key cards. Got to room. I had used a free upgrade to get a suite so I could sit back, have dinner and watch a hockey match on tv without having to sit on my bed.... And the TV did not work. So I called the front desk, no answer. I did not watch the game and went and got dinner. I checked out the morning of departure, no greeting from staff or questions about my stay and so I pointed out the TV in the living room was not working. No apology, no acknowledgement of my upgrade being wasted. Only comment was "I'll have engineering fix it". I said how disappointed I was to upgrade to a suite to not have use of that space. Again, no apologies no discussion. Time to ask Marriott corporate to send a trainer to do some serious customer service training. Marriott has a reputation for the service they provide.
