Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus

The pool isn't heated and is freezing. There isn't any open bar and night life for years at the hotel definitely not as advertised .but if you need a room, it is equivalent to any of the *3 hotels room

I booked it for convenience and the fact that it had an indoor pool for my active boy to play in. Instead, the indoor pool may as well of been outside. It was freezing in the room and the temp of the pool was too cold for me to allow my son to play in. Then I thought I’d let him run on the treadmill or elliptical. Not a chance. The exercise equipment was broken. The hotel itself was cleanish but run down and old. The blackout curtains were hanging on both sides and a lampshade was broken.

Prior reviews were spot on.

Bed was like a rock. Just got adjusted by chiropractor. But it is what it is for the price

The 3 stars is based on the friendly and helpful staff we encountered while staying at the property. It would had been a 2 otherwise. The rooms and corridors were in need of better housekeeping. Little things made the rating lower that what I would had given. There wasn’t a threshold under the room door and the towel rack in bathroom was broken off the wall. Little things like that made the room feel inferior. The hallways and elevator car were in need of a better cleaning. The room rate was reasonable and the parking lot is spacious. And we’ll lit. Another positive was the teas provided. Exquisite blends and all organic. They were good. Coffee was a different story.

The hotel was dirty inside the room, hallways, and elevator. My 18 month old kid found a joint laying next to the bed on the ground. Pool area was dirty, room heater had it like a sauna while the pool water was freezing. Front desk worker was very helpful issuing a refund when I brought the joint to her and requested a refund and checked out a couple hours after checking in. Would not recommend to anyone. $50/night is what it should be VS $120/night. Parking lot on west side of hotel looks very shady as well. DO NOT TRUST THE PHOTOS ON BOOKING SIGHT!!!

Carpet was old and seemed like it may need to be replaced

First of all when I book this I left a note saying I needed a handicap room. They had not even read the note and there was no handicap room available, but they were commentating and getting a room where she didn’t have to walk very far only when we got in the room, there was hair in the sink and then we checked the bathtub. There was a lot of hair in the bathtub and then on the toilet there was P when you left lifted the lid there was P then that thing that goes around the bottom of the wall. It was coming out in a couple of places where my mother could trip. I had gone up the next morning and ask them to send someone down there to fix it. Also, every time you turned on the sink water it sprayed you and I asked him to fix that, far as I know, nobody came to fix it because I was still getting wet. I would not recommend this place I wasn’t given any kind of reduced rate for my motel. We had to keep asking for wash cloths. The maids came at like 8:30 in the morning instead of waiting till later to come and clean the room, I was very unsatisfied.

The property is poorly maintained. There was no security lock on the room door. The outer door was always open, also a security issue.
