Holiday Inn Louisville East - Hurstbourne by IHG

My daughter lives in Louisville so i travel several times a year to the area. This hotel was quiet. The breakfast was good and the room comfortable. I had a connected a room to my daughter and her family. Again, so quiet, no shower noise, no toliet flushing, no elevator noise. The first day we tried to see the pool but it was locked, no one could explain why it was locked. We didn't have enough towels. The hotel wasn't busy, so I'm not sure why towels were scarce. The staff was overall pretty good. the first day my daughters room didn't get cleaned or fresh towels. Mine was clean and fresh towels delivered, just the minimum amount. My daughter never had enough towels for 3 people. I went and got towels on 2 occasions. The coffee in the rooms was bad. overall, just a couple of issues, would book again.

Room could have been cleaner. Not enough toilet tissue. Ants. Ac unit in room extremely dusty.

Staff was very friendly.

TV didn’t work, phone didn’t work, no ice available on the floor, hotel property looked like a war zone.

Clean, comfortable, large rooms. Friendly staff.

Refrigerator didn't work but all in all it was a nice stay.

Every staff member was extremely polite and professional. Room was great for price. Only downfall was a hotel event was occuring so most of the hotel was closed off, but that is on me for not checking for events before booking.

Stay gone wrong. Spent four nights at this holiday in as part of a veterans reunion group. They must have switched us with another person with the same last name at check-in. A check of identification might have fixed that initially. No wonder they didn’t acknowledge our membership status. The charged wife’s debit card for another night as they said we only paid for three as we were locked out of our room. What really happened was they switched room numbers due to their confusion about two people staying at the hotel with the same last name. At checkout we received his receipt with our debit card adding an extra night. We also paid for his food charges. He must have gotten our receipt. We were in the room assigned to him. He was in ours. Found this out after check out. Found our actual receipt online. Counter claimed they were unable to correct the issue. It had to be a supervisor. We left multiple voicemails trying to resolve it. No one has returned my calls. While there we watched several folks walk up to the bar on Saturday night right before closing. The bartender called Last Call as they walked in. Guess he did not want to make extra money. Room AC leaked the whole time we were there. Notified front desk every day. No one ever came to fix it. Puddle went under the bed when we checked out. Hotel is in need on some paint and upkeep. It is showing its age. Would not recommend staying here. Staff is friendly enough. Too many signs of poor management for us. Not a good experience for us. Hoping the bank can help with getting the room refunded for the charge on the other person’s room.
