La Quinta by Wyndham Springfield

There wasn’t much to like about this property. The only positive was that some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the poor overall experience. The condition of the hotel and the other issues we encountered overshadowed the few bright spots. Sometimes a friendly employee is the only thing keeping a review from sounding like a crime scene report. Sadly, customer service can’t vacuum the room or fix avoidable mistakes. 🙃

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. When I pulled back the sheets, I found half of a pill that definitely did not belong to me. There were also hairs in the bathtub and trash left behind the curtains, which made me question how well the room had been cleaned before my arrival. I also had an issue at the front desk. I specifically asked the employee to add the points from our stay to my husband’s Wyndham Rewards account. Instead, she created an entirely new Wyndham Rewards account under my name. I was then told I would have to call customer service to have the points transferred, even though this could have been avoided by simply adding the stay to the correct account in the first place. Between the poor housekeeping and the unnecessary hassle with the rewards account, this stay was very disappointing. It’s frustrating when a hotel can’t manage the basics, because apparently cleaning a room and entering the correct rewards number are now considered advanced-level tasks. I won’t be returning.

The lady at the reception was extremely nice and make us feel valuable, her customer service was super.

i believe i was charged for 3 nights instead of 2. i call the hotel and was told i had to call booking.com as that is how i registered. i called booking.com and after reviewing my complaint they sent it to la Quinta to settle my complaint. I'm still waiting to hear back......

I like the location close to downtown and close to my mother’s house. Coffee was good

Needs to be ungraded. You should not have carpets. Breakfast needs to be better.
