Holiday Inn Raleigh Downtown, an IHG Hotel

The property is in dire need of some updating.

The first room we got smelled awful and the carpets were wet. They quickly swapped my wife and I to another room but that first room must have been like that for while to smell that bad. The people at the front desk were kind and helpful but Holliday Inn shouldn’t have rooms in such poor condition.

old hotel they are going to tear down. havent done any work to it in a long time. price was right and location was excellent. everything else not so good.

The hotel was ideally located, but a bit dated. One of the two elevators did not operate, which was a challenge as I along with many others were in town for the NCAA basketball tournaments. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very accomodating, especially when it came to holding my bag while I went to one of the games after checkout.

The hotel was comfortable, clean, and near my work venue. There were several fiod options close by as well

I just wish they would’ve told you there is a $100 required deposit and a $16 parking fee per day. Overall the experience was alright but I don’t think I got the correct room I purchased on hotels.com but it was still comfortable enough I didn’t want to stress it. Staff was helpful with the issues I did have and were friendly.

There were no lights in the parking area and it was scary, the elevator was broken and we were on the 17th floor while the highest parking floor was 5, the shower head was broken and pouring water everywhere, there is no vent in the bathroom, there were red stains on the carpet, holes in the walls, and overall the room was very dirty. Also the halls and corridors were nasty. We went down to get breakfast at 8 am and there was 1 muffin, 3 granola bars, and the coffee was out. It was a horrible stay. We moved across town to Embassy Suites.

Hotel reception staff not very welcoming, only one lift working. Phone wasn’t working. Room very tired, housekeeping didn’t tidy our room, they left beds unmade, moved dirty towels from bathroom and left dumped on the bed and moved rubbish from bathroom and left in middle of bedroom floor. Ceilings have mould on and furniture very tired and worn. No breakfast facilities available and extortionate parking costs.

I need someone from Expedia to call me about payment asap.
