Beach House Resort Hilton Head Island

Kiki and Amoy at front desk. Larry at the pool. Very friendly and customer service oriented.

1. Paid to upgrade to partial oceanfront room on one of my 3 rooms. My room was 2 doors down from sons and was exact room with exact view. Kiki corrected that but others are being scammed. If on otherside of elevator maybe could see but I was only 2 doors closer with same view on landslide of elevator. 2. Have been coming here for 15 years. Not sure if I will return. Cost was very expensive for value. Pool area disgusting. Water was cloudy and greasy. Sat out every morning and only saw the pool sides brushed and chemicals dumped. Was there 4 mornings and never saw a pool vacuu. Go in the pool. Was there at 0645 evdry morning. Pool deck never sprayed. Bugs were horrendous. Ants were crazy. Food droppings and grease from days prior remained on deck. 3. For a 35 dollar resort fee, nothing to do after 10pm. No lounge area , nothing! People are on vacation. Should be plenty to be able to provide that still protects noise ordinance. 4. Room tab is bad idea. Wait staff kept switching and closing my tab automatically adding 20%. Had family of seven and staff brought out lunch one time so a 10 min job and received an almost 50 dollar tip. I am a nurse, rethinking my career after this happened to me several times. 70 cent tip to hand me a coffee I make myself! Finally stopped using room tab wich should be another convenience but I didn't trust it.

The pool and beach access were the highlight of the stay. The location is perfect, with shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The rooms appear clean but are simply dingy and dirty. They could use a deep clean. Hallways are dark and again dingy. I can see how over crowding at the pool occurs. And witnessed people leave towels or personal items on chairs and left for hours. The hotel does have a 30 mins policy although I did not see it enforced.

It was clean and right on the beach

It was right next to the path to the public beach and beach was very crowded. Tiki bar very loud. And the hotel even though updated it was still very outdated and old.

First off, the location is awesome, but unfortunately it was the best part of our stay. While the resort features two restaurants with decently priced food, the quality was just meh, and you can easily find much better places to eat nearby. My main issue, however, was the beach. If you are marketing yourself as a beach resort, guests should not have to pay an extra 300 dollars just to rent beach chairs. Additionally, the rooms are badly in need of an update. Our toilet overflowed to the top of the bowl every single day before finally draining, which was disgusting. On top of that, the hot water is unreliable, and if more than one person took a shower consecutively in the afternoon, the water turned freezing cold. Ultimately, this place is just okay. The location is great, but in my opinion, you can find much better options on the island for the same price.

They gouge you at the bar!!!! Totally ridiculous price for a drink and they didn’t have any alcohol in them

It is clean, convenient to nearby shopping and restaurants. The resort has pool , restaurants and beach on site.

Shower did not drain properly. Toilet leaked all over clothes that were in the bathroom. I had to call twice to get help.

Convenient location.

The location , it was pretty much on the beach and a short walking distance to the shops.

The entire property shuts down at 10 pm , which is a bit disappointing to folks on vacation . Rooms are a bit outdated and could use some work as well . Staff needs better customer service
