OYO Hotel Brownwood Hwy 67

Room didn't have a TV and this told to me up front and I was ok with it. Additionally, the sink was leaking. I checked in real late and wanted to sleep and didn't feel like addressing the issues. But I had to get water from the shower when needed. Bed sheets for one of the beds had rust on it on the side lining where it wraps on the bed.

This place is really gross and very unprofessional. They gave us a room that wasn’t even stayable. There was furniture kn the beds the bathrooms were filthy. When we went back down to tell them she acted surprised and didn’t understand why we were leaving. Absolute worst hotel ever. Have yet to receive a refund for the room itself and the deposit. When I arrived they didn’t have any rooms and blamed Priceline and other 3rd parties for over booking them. That’s how we ended up in I guess a storage room. Steer clear.

Door lock broken, no light in lamps, water faucets in tub just spin, toilet was not flushed , no plugs for sink or tub. Forgot was locked out of room twice. Overall should have given us another room with out the smell of cigarette smoke as We don’t smoke. We should get a refund. Will not stay there a again

Even though we booked 3 days ahead of time, they had no room for us. They actually checked me in and gave me keys to a room that was already occupied. Then kept me waiting to just tell me hotels.com had overbooked them, with a very tired 4 and 12 year old, waiting in the lobby while they continued to check new arriving people in. Even though my mom booked day of arrival, hours before and got a room. Maybe a blessing in Disguise because this hotel was disgusting with bugs and old. My mother demanded her money back and left due to the horrible condition of her room.

This was the biggest poop hole ever. The last time this place had an actual update was probably the 80’s i swear. The bathrooms are disgusting, when i first took a shower i seen the empty bottles of shampoo and conditioner from the people before me. My room had carpet and you could see so many stains, it looked like a murder scene happened in there. Also my toilet paper was a quarter left roll, used by the people before me. :) i don’t think I’ve ever seen a nastier hotel. This place needs to be taken down and rebuilt.

I felt very unsafe as a single mom with 3 young daughters. There was a deposit that I was not made aware of to make sure the sheets and towels were not damaged they said. Smoke friendly hotel and due to health issues i cannot be around smoke.

Pictures showed updated room and floors. In reality disgusting carpet. When they “cleaned” the room they didn’t even make the bed.

A not so good start. The pictures on the websites are misleading. The front desk clerk had to be called on her cell phone to attened to her check-ins. We were then told an additional refundable $50 was due at check-in, not anywhere on the website. The room smelled like mold, flooring was coming up, disgusting bathroom, water damage everywhere, stains on sheets and towels. They advertise a pool and hot tub which there was a pool but no hot tub. Pool was dirty and being treated so we couldnt even use.

Checked in upon arriving in Brownwood. Desk clerk was sweet as punch. Very helpful and professional. She gave me my room key and I went to my room. First stop: restroom. I sat down and noticed a hole in the bathtub where the soap dish used to be. Looking around, I noticed the dish was laying in the rim of the tub. I went back up to the office to report it as there was not a phone in the room. She immediately apologized and reassigned me to another room, directly in front of the pool! (How convenient for me). The room was nicer, had carpet instead of plank floors and it was cold which I loved! The bed was comfortable enough but could use more pillows. I wasn’t looking for the Ritz Carlton so this hotel served its purpose. The shower was adequate but it didn’t drain very well so they may want to consider some drain-o .. also, the tv was weird. You had to stand right in front of it (like inches) to change channels. But the pool was awesomely warm and inviting. I enjoyed taking a swim. The advert says there is a hot tub but it’s currently non operational. I didn’t even see one .. there are two side buildings that are not being used and are simply storage . She did say that the property was just bought in May and they are in the midst of renovations. Overall a nice little QUIET hotel. I would stay here again ..

We stopped for one night heading to Texas. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Room very spacious with comfy bed. Don't want to be negative during this pandemic but cleanliness is priority where ever we stay. We understand that it's hard to find help during these times. 😥
