"We made the best of it."

6.0

It was a great location. The bar and DJ were great. I'm recommending to others based on this.

The hot tub was dirty and not hot. The pool tables were broken. The pool was freezing cold. We got hit with an extra $100 deposit per room upon check in without warning. Also had to pay $15 per night for parking without warning.

"Bad Customer Service"

1.0

Nothing. I made a reservation through booking.com and when I arrived I was told the hotel was already fully booked. They took my money and now I am struggling to get a refund.

"Not the best experience"

6.0

Our room this stay was extremely dirty and not maintained very well. The beds were good and linens were clean. Air conditioner blew cold. We only used the room for sleep but cleanliness was definitely an issue throughout the property.

"DO NOT BOOK: Emaral Beach Hotel in Corpus — A Complete Disaster"

2.0

DO NOT BOOK: Emaral Beach Hotel in Corpus — A Complete Disaster I’m writing this review as a serious warning to future travelers and a plea to: REVOKE YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THIS PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. This hotel is a misrepresentation on every level, from fake amenities to dangerous conditions. The hotel claims to offer a wide array of features, but nearly everything advertised is false or broken: WiFi and Internet: Not functional at all. Parking: You pay $15/day to fight for a public parking spot. There is no guest-reserved parking. Dining: There is no restaurant, no open bars (only one bar exists), and the "Sandbar" lounge is closed. Coffee is available in the mornings—barely. Pools: The indoor pool was freezing (~65°F) with no working pumps, leaving maintenance to dump large amounts of chemicals manually. The pool water sits still all day. The hot tub is no better—your eyes will sting from chemical overuse. Worst of all, the rusty pool rails pose a serious safety hazard, especially to children. Amenities Falsely Advertised: Arcade/game room: All machines are off or broken. Beach volleyball: No net exists. Billiards: Broken table, no sticks or balls. Family friendly? No. There’s no lifeguard and nothing for kids to enjoy. Concierge, bellhop, multilingual staff, business center, housekeeping service, and more — all nonexistent. Accessibility Features: Claimed assistive listening devices and braille signage are completely fake. Cleanliness & Maintenance: The beach (the only redeeming aspect) is littered with trash and never cleaned by hotel staff. Safety & Security: Anyone can walk into the hotel from the beach; the key card reader does not work. Elevators: 3 are listed, but only 1 is functional for guests. What’s worse is how deliberately misleading the listing is. Many photos are AI-enhanced and not accurate. You’re sold a dream and arrive to a nightmare. The staff do their best, but their hands are tied. The problem lies in management and ownership, who have failed to provide honest information and maintain even basic standards. If you're reading this, I urge you: RUN FROM THIS HOTEL. Look elsewhere—there’s a Holiday Inn right next door that already looks infinitely better. You have a responsibility to your customers. Remove this hotel from your platform until it meets even the minimum standards of truth and safety.

Beach is directly behind the hotel

Booked directly through the hotel page. Reservation was cancelled at 10 pm while we were still driving to the hotel from out of town, I called the hotel for 35 minutes, and no one answered. I had to book again through booking.com. Once I arrived, the room I booked did not have an AC, so I had to get a standard room. This room had spider webs and rust everywhere. This could have just been our room. I'm not speaking about every room in the hotel. I personally would not stay again. it's just not my cup of tea. I cancelled our 2nd night, and for the same price, I stayed across the street at the Omni.

"The thing I liked was that the hotel was on the beach and walking distance around the playground for my daughters"

5.0

That the hotel was on the beach

There was no wifi. The beds and the floor had sand on them. The bathroom door was hard to close. The door handle to the patio was loose and it fell off as soon as we tried to open it. The main entrance of the hotel is supposed to be a revolving door but we had to push it to get inside. We killed two spiders in our room. The hotel needs a major upgrade.

"What’s the point really?"

2.0

If you’re reading this then you’ve probably already seen that basically everyone gives this nightmare hotel a 1 star review. It certainly earned its 1 star status. Complete garbage. They don’t pay for tv service anymore and pretend it’s temporary. The air conditioning barely blows. You’ll sweat your nuggets off. Pretty certain the thermostat is a toy. Everything is old and dirty. Hair all over the bathroom (yes those kind). I’d be shocked if someone hasn’t been murdered in this room. So why did we stay here if it’s so poorly reviewed? Because we, like every other idiot that’s booked a room here, failed to read reviews before booking. But you’re reading this review hopefully BEFORE booking and you’ll save yourself an awful experience! If you’re thinking “oh it can’t be that bad” or “ya but it’s right on the beach”, stop trying to convince yourself to stay at this crotch smelling cesspool and pony up for something that won’t make you consider sleeping in your car. You’ve been warned.
