TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miramar Beach Destin

No shuttle to the beach as advertised but there is public beach access less than a 10 minute walk away. 40 minute walk to Pompano Joes, 20 minute walk to Whales Tales. Located 5 minutes away from CVS, Windixie, outlet mall. Very far from Destin boardwalk, will need transportation. Room needs updating, broken phone and bathroom facilities, smell of mold; however, room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Older hotel and not very well maintained. Cleanliness needs work, because it’s not very good. The room was spacious, and having a refrigerator and microwave was nice. Also, the bed was pretty comfortable. The pool area was lackluster because there was only one chaise chair to lay on, and it was broken. However, it’s close to the shopping and very quick walk to the beach. If you’re going for a night or 2 it’s not awful, but don’t expect much!

Super convenient 2 minute drive to the Sandestin Baytowne conference ctr. to the east, and Destin attractions to the west. Best things was the 200 yard walk straight to the beach!!!

You pay for what you get…

Bed was comfortable. Room spacious with good food and clothing hanging and storage area. . Pool closed. Lobby bathroom out of order. Tv not working well ( kept cutting off) room was generally dark and shabby. There was no place to sit outside even though there is a small balcony. They had sealed off the balcony door, so you couldn’t open it to get fresh air. The lobby is ok , but not off limits to guests due to covid restrictions.

I paid 300 a night to be told that they won’t clean the rooms but if you leave excess trash you will be charged. Also, it is spring break and the pool is closed. At first they said because the doors needed to be fixed and now they’re saying the pump. So Disappointed.
