Amari Phuket

Great staff and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a very beautiful view. Special thanks to Ms.Joy Chanya for preparing the room for us and making our stay even more pleasant. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety to choose from. The hotel atmosphere was relaxing, and the location was convenient for traveling around. There was also a convenient shuttle service provided by the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely will come back again in the future.

Best service from Khun Kannt and Khun Som. Room and beach view were precious definitely come back. !!

Breakfast at Amari Phuket was great with many options. Restaurant Manager Som-o was very accommodating and helpful.

After spending the entire day outside exploring Phuket, I came back exhausted, lay down on the bed, and was peacefully talking to my mom on the phone when my husband suddenly noticed an ANT crawling on the pillow RIGHT NEXT TO MY FACE. I immediately jumped up in panic, and that’s when we realized the bed was INFESTED with ants. Every time we moved a pillow or blanket, more ants were crawling around the bedding. I cannot even explain the level of fear and disgust I felt in that moment. I was literally standing in the corner of the room shaking because I was terrified to go near the bed again. This is NOT what you expect from a reputed luxury hotel. We immediately called housekeeping asking for urgent cleaning and bedding replacement. Nobody came. We called again. Still nobody. I was left standing there completely distressed for around 30 minutes while they casually kept saying “someone is coming.” When housekeeping finally arrived with their supervisor, the reaction was unbelievably dismissive. No urgency. No genuine concern. Just “it’s okay, we will change it.” But the worst part was the reception manager. Instead of acknowledging how unacceptable it is to have ANTS CRAWLING ON A GUEST’S PILLOW, she walked into the room acting as if WE were overreacting. She kept repeating that she could offer us ONE of three things: dinner, a 1000 baht hotel voucher, or a taxi to the airport. My husband repeatedly told her very clearly: “We are NOT asking for free food, vouchers, or compensation. We just want you to acknowledge this situation properly and apologize.” But she just kept repeating the same scripted nonsense again and again. That is when I completely lost my patience. I was emotionally overwhelmed, terrified, disgusted, and honestly close to tears. I told her I was lying on that bed moments before seeing ants next to my face and all I wanted was basic empathy and accountability. What if I had an allergic reaction? What if ants had crawled on me while I was sleeping? I was not begging for freebies. I did not care about dinner vouchers or airport taxis. I only wanted the hotel to understand how disturbing and unacceptable this situation was. Instead, I was made to feel like I was being “handled” with compensation instead of being heard as a distressed guest. Eventually, I had to tell them: “Please leave my room. I genuinely do not have the mental capacity to deal with this anymore.” I understand Phuket is tropical and insects can happen occasionally, but the complete lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism from management is what truly ruined this experience for me. And before anyone from the hotel tries to dismiss this review or act like I’m exaggerating — I have multiple clear videos of ants crawling all over the pillows, bedding, and bed area. This was NOT one random ant. The bed was crawling with them. No luxury hotel guest should ever have to experience something this disgusting and disturbing. A luxury hotel is not defined by views or decor — it is defined by how they treat guests when something goes wrong. And this was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
