Amari Phuket

What an amazing experience we had at the Amari. From the moment we got to check in, we were made to feel special with a personal check-in service. The views that we were met with were spectacular. A cold drink and a towel were greatly received. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. From the reception staff to the grounds maintenance staff. Food was of a good standard with a good selection, and the views at the restaurant were lovely again. You can get a massage overlooking the sea. Or eat breakfast and jump straight onto a longtail boat to an island. Not much entertainment, but the location of the hotel is right by Bangla Road and food markets, etc. The hotel is located on a steep hill, so walking to and from and within the hotel will surely give you muscles you never knew you had lol there is a free shuttle and tuk tuks are very cheap from the hotel to themain road. Rooms. We stayed in the main building, but there are rooms that, again, are on the hill, and you will need to call a shuttle to get to the main hotel. The cleaning service is on point, and beautiful gifts are left on your bed daily. For some strange reason, there is a window from the bedroom looking into the bathroom, thank goodness for the pull-down blind. I like to sit on the throne without an audience. Also, the hotel ONLY has double beds, no twins (apparently apart from in a family room) we requested a camp bed, which they obliged. Ground; absolutely stunning, it's like walking through the jungle, waterfalls, nooks to have lunch in the trees, butterflies all around you. The Spa is pure luxury. Walk up to the jetty and feel like you are sitting on top of the sea. All in all, we had a great experience and could not find one thing to complain about. We stayed for 2 weeks. Located on PaTong beach, on the hill, excellent placement, far away from hustle and bustle and yet right in the middle of all the action. The property is beautifully designed and views are magnificent. The view from the 1 bedroom suite is that of the entire PaTong bay. The room by itself is clean and has engough space, the kitchen is well equipped and had enough amenities for all cooking needs. The bed is extra soft and may not be to the comfort of every one. The water force from the shower was pretty low and this matter couldnt be resolved. the water was either too hot or room temp from the shower. The carpert rug in the living room, felt as if it hadnt been cleaned for quite a while, it was very dusty and dirty. If you are with children below 10 years this property has a well equipped play area and pool options. A special thank to Ms Ploy at the front desk for making our more comfortable and memorable. Ms. Nan and Ms. Sara at the Rim Talay, made sure all our breakfast needs were well addressed. They took special care for our 3 year old.

The property itself is huge and spread over a vast landmass on a hilly area, and even though this sounds like a very good view to imagine, its not as much when it comes to services. Everything is delayed regardless of your urgency. The staff, well what can I say about the staff, specially at the reception. Absolutely ridiculous how rude and unfriendly they were. We were 2 families with 3 kids and the staff at the reception was rude to check us in, was rude to talk, was rude in their overall behaviour. The staff at the breakfast restaurant was just not human friendly to begin with. They could see that we have a small child and told us that the baby chair is there and we can go and get it, would make us wait to take the order if any, dint have any sort of softness towards kids. Just appalling to say the least. I would never if I do visit phuket again ever stay in this hotel even if its the last place to stay or even if its free. For a person who has paid for 2, 2 bedroom apartments which is best they can offer, and for a family who is visiting for the first time, it was a shitshow honestly. I have travelled around the world and if this was in any european country or even the US, I would understand it somehow as there is a sense of racism when they see India people. But Thai people and the culture is usually very nice with smiling facing and their very famous singy songy way of talking which is very welcoming to say the least. I havent had this problem in Bangkok, Pattaya, Koi Sa Moi and neither in phuket as a city. But this hotel was just over the top on the scale of rudeness. The hygiene standards are not as a 4 or 5 star resort is expected of, the rooms were clean, but in the bathrooms one could easily spot a lil gecko every now and then. Also the balcony was never cleaned during our stay of 3 nights. I saw the cleaning staff clean the room on a particular day as we had time to leave and she only mopped the floor with a broom and a slightly wet mop thats it.

What a amazing hotel . We love Som-O , the restaurant manager is great. She is so nice and helpful. Also trainee Sterre from Holland. They all were so sweet. We are coming back !! Great place and fantastic breakfast.

Sometimes the wait time for the car to the lobby was a little long. The hill the property is based on makes walking up to your room impractical.

Wonderful, relaxing, friendly resort. We loved our one bedroom Villa. We have stayed at this resort 3 times and I recommend this beautiful resort to stay. Greeted by Andy, customer relations Manager. He couldn’t do enough to welcome us. Then his assistant Nook couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention to all the staff up at the Club house. So helpful and friendly We will definitely be back there again one day. 5 Star recommendation for Amari Phuket ❤️

Such a beautiful place to stay. Great position overlooking Patong Beach. The food was exceptional and a big thanks goes to Andrea and the team at the La Gritta restaurant, who always looked after us with quality Italian cuisine. The girls at reception were lovely and very attentive when it came to finding the perfect room for us. We extended our stay an extra night cause we just didn’t want to leave. Looking forward to staying again at Amari.

The place has an ideal location and very mice villas. But they lack a good spread of Breakfast plus the service by buggy to Villa is very poor. We took four rooms but going to the villa from the lobby was a pain
