DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago Wood Dale - Elk Grove

The property seemed fine but when we got there- our reservation had been cancelled. So my daughters, granddaughter and myself had to find another hotel at 10pm in Chicago. And of course I couldn’t reach anyone at booking.com to figure out how this happened. I had received an email that my dates had been changed successfully and we were good to go. So not sure I will be using Booking.com anymore. I had my fingers crossed on our Nashville overnight stay that I had already booked and everything was fine but still not happy with what happened in Chicago.

Very nice experience! The hotel is close to everything and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The bed was comfy, and I didn't use them but I liked that the room had a fridge and microwave.

I wasn't aware of the construction going on in the courtyard. Had nice TV's, but they were lackluster in terms of channels, the remote didn't even have a guide button so you had to flip through all the channels just to eventually find the guide. All in all, it was a pleasant stay though.

Disgusting. Stains on the sheets, dirty paper towels behind the desk. Totally gross. It looks great until you walk in. Close to Ohare Stayed one night So far haven't been killed

The worst Hilton experience I've ever had by far. In general, I prefer Hilton hotels for my business travel due to their services. But DoubleTree Chicago Wood Dale is the exception. The room was dark (lack of sufficient lighting), and had a strange smell. However, the worst part is the staff and their service, including the General Manager. I needed to get copies of the restaurant receipts after my departure. I called the hotel more than 20 times and exchanged multiple emails, yet 3 weeks later, I still have not received these copies. They simply do not care. I was told that my requests were elevated all the way up to the General Manager, still, nothing happened. They could not accommodate such a simple request from a paying customer. One thing I know for sure is that I will never stay at that place again.

The air conditioning really works freezing

There was small bugs everywhere flying in the lobby when I was waiting to check in as I’m going to the room hallway smelled like nothing but cigarettes which hotel supposedly is nonsmoking once I got to the room it also smelled like cigarettes small bugs flying in there also tub was dirty like as if it was barely cleaned from the stay before water bottles behind tv from previous stays the food was horrible and cold and for as the location everything was closed really early around there

Wouldn’t know they cancelled my reservation because of a card issue before I even arrived and didn’t give me a call or a email to let me know when they did a pre authorization there was a issue just canceled my reservation and I had to find another hotel because they sold the room I had reserved
