Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island by IHG

From the time I arrived, they accommodated an early check-in, room was clean, the restaurant was delicious and evenings around the campfire to unwind was a nice addition.

Very convient, very nice and the staff was nice also

Checked in yesterday 4/18 late in the day and decided to walk around the grounds to see where things were to start our lounging on Sunday 4/19. Walked over to the pool to check the hours only to find a sign posted-closed until further notice we are here for my husband’s birthday. He is a pool lover. No notice. No email. Decided to ask the girl running the front desk. By herself I might add and the poor thing was so busy. She informed us that they had to make emergency repairs then an inspection was required. Understandable. Maybe with any luck it may be open Tuesday. I would absolutely have changed our plans had I known this in advance. We came here to do nothing but lounge by the pool and walk the beach. The employee also stated that ithe notice had been posted to the hotels website that day but we were already driving here and I had just been on the hotel website the day before we left. We’ll see.

Location was right on the beach although our room faced the parking lot/street. A restaurant was right next to the hotel.

Quality of property wasn’t up to par. The lobby was hot. I’m not sure if the a/c was working. The pool was closed due to resurfacing. We weren’t informed of this until we arrived. Upon check in I had to ask about breakfast as I had paid for it but tickets weren’t provided. The room layout was odd. The closet was very small/tight. Shower had mold at bottom of glass. Overall landscape needs work. The grass is well groomed. First morning breakfast was told the dishwasher had broken the night before.

This is a nice waterfront property. The rooms are motel style but they have done a great job with the decor of the rooms. It offers a great beach vibe and was very welcoming. The beds and pillows are comfortable. It states that it is a resort and really I would refer to it as a nice motel with a beach and pool and bike rentals. Not really a resort. I noticed a lot of dogs stay at this property with their owners. The on site restaurant 24 Coastal is not much to be desired. The breakfast is really sad. There is a restaurant next door called The Beach House and we had a nice dinner there at affordable prices.

The beach was outside the door. The Beach House resturant was really good. All the beach amenities were wonderful.

The is no furniture in the room. Only one ice machine in the entire complex. Coffee maker didn't work. Very little light in room unless the curtains are open.

No blow dryer in room

Room had trash not emptied and no Television, It didnt work for the entire stay. Very disappointing for the amount of money i spent on room.

The restaurant was not staffed to handle the people staying at the hotel Long lines not enough food on breakfast bar and charged $20/person
