The Alder at Resorts World Catskills

The WIFI at the Alder was terrible. I had trouble accessing Internet and sending texts. At the bar near the taco place there were cups from the night before never cleaned up. The check in staff were wonderful. Knowledgeable and accommodating.

Room sink had toothpaste cap in the drain. The lotion had been used by a previous guest. Room smelled musty. Bed was comfortable. Dining was expensive for quality of food. There is not much to do: gamble, eat, golf. The pools were nice. The spa was too pricey to invest.

Disappointed lack of food options. Only place open was the cantina. Check in was impersonal. Given no information on locations of on site amenities. Had to ask where the pool and hot tub were. Too far from where our room is. Above casino. Restaurants were closed. Cantina bar and food closed early at 11? For a resort in high season should be open and better food options.

Nice place to stay

The rooms were not cleaned until after 5pm. Adternpaying too dollar, the rolms should hsve been cleaned by the afternoon

The property was nice. We checked in late and were assigned a room with a single king side bed. I told the clerk that the room I reserved should have had two queen beds. I was told it wasn’t available and they have no control over online reservations. We were two adults and a teenager so one bed would not have worked. We were told they should be pull out sofa. Thankfully there was one in a room but no linens were provided. The sofa mattress was stained as well. We had to wait for close to half hour for the linens to be delivered. All in all it’s a nice property but assignment of the incorrect room was annoying. Not sure if it’s Expedia’s fault or the hotel’s.

On check in we were not given any information about the room, WiFi, etc. Not very helpful or friendly.

Loved it

I wish I had known that the entirety of the lobby was going to be turned into a rave with heavy bass. I would have stayed elsewhere.
