Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

If you prefer a comfortable and softer lush mattress, this place isn’t for you. Similar to the multiple reviews from other guests, the beds are horrible. They are very firm, lopsided, and you can feel the springs. A resort of this prestige and price point should have better.

This is our 10th year visiting Hilton Sandestin - so obviously we like it if we keep coming back. It’s the place with the most nostalgia for my kids, which is invaluable. The bunk rooms work perfectly for my family of 5, and a hotel experience right ln the beach isn’t super easy to come by, so I value that. All of that said - 1) I’m very disappointed that the same issues remain year after year. Notably, service at the restaurant is abysmal. Our first night, for example, we were one of the only tables. Food took an eternity and, of 3 entrees, one came out a good 10 minutes before the other 2, and was therefore obviously cold by the time the other 2 meals arrived and we all ate together. The beds remaining horribly uncomfortable to the point of not being able to sleep. And it seems very few updates have been made so the property as a whole continues aging. 2) the price, especially when including all fees, is so far from worth it it’s laughable. We continue to come because my work pays for it (conference), otherwise we’d spend our money elsewhere and get a much more upscale experience. Either the price needs to come down - or the experiences needs to elevate.

View was very nice - could see the Gulf from my partial view room. The room itself was very dated - old furniture, etc - and the carpets could certainly use a deep clean. The beach was spectacular.

The pools were always crowded and lounge chair pirates saved seats which was annoying. The resort would do well to discourage this behavior. We also didn't have towels the first day at the pool - they kept running out??? But all in all we went to the beach instead which was 100000% better and the reason we came down to Destin anyway.

I knew when I first arrived and encountered Britt, Bree and Crystal at the front desk that my stay would be magical..I am very big on recieving great customer service and these ladies did not disappoint..I soon found out that everything about this resort is outstanding..I highly recommend

View and access to the beach were excellent. We have a beach and pool view room.

The hotel has been there for awhile and while they have made renovations to the restaurant area, they really need to continue to invest in upgrading the hotel rooms and facilities. Breakfast buffet is completely overpriced but they offer other food options on site.

The amenities. It was on the beach with access to great shopping. It has a great fitness room and the rooms were very nice

I was upset that when you book through booking.com I paid extra to have breakfast included for my two teenagers and I. So when I received my three vouchers I thought they were good for 3 days, but that was only for me, the person who booked the room. I was told by the front desk that the breakfast was only included for me and not my two children even though I specifically listed myself and my two teenagers and their ages when I booked. So I was kind of tricked to think that the breakfast included was for all three of us when it was only for just me. The good news is I raise so much pain that they comped my children's breakfasts for the rest of our stay as well. It was very deceptive on booking.com and I want other people to know not to pay the extra to have breakfast included because it is not what you think it is it is only for the person booking the reservation. If I had booked through the hotel website, the staff told me, it would have included all three of us for breakfast. Another reason why I will no longer book reservations through a third party site
