The Lakes Rookley Holiday Park

In general the stay was good but furnishings need attention and access to the hot tub was difficult and there were no instructions. Kitchen lacked certain essentials - larger bowls, chopping boards.

This is quite the beautiful place. The two large lakes add a superb element to a stay. Comfy, clean caravan & lovely staff. It is very good. No Wi-Fi in the caravan, but not a big deal. Fed the multitude of ducks and moorhens with real duck food, so they have asked us to visit again. Central base for exploring. We really liked it here. A bit odd supplying no towels, but again, we were told up front so no problem. Recommended.

Overall, a great place to stay, lovely lodges with excellent facilities. We stayed in an exclusive lakeside lodge (no.20) but were disappointed in the ensuite areas. One bathroom had fungus on the floor, a badly stained toilet & disgusting toilet brush which is easily replaceable. The 2nd bathroom smelled fousty, fan not working. This was such a shame as the rest of the lodge was really comfortable & these problems are easily rectified. Lastly, parking wasn't next to the lodge in our case.

Peaceful location, good value for money.Friendly staff. Caravan very clean and comfortable. Bar prices very expensive, £8.95 for one pint and a half of bitter. Good Wi-Fi in the bar. We did not eat in the restaurant so can’t comment on food. We would return and would recommend.

The Caravan was nice enough with the hot tub and nice view, but we had a oven tray that some one had left dirty in the oven and the TV kept going off, the restaurant was closed and no utilities open apart from the bar that closed at 8pm

Really nice caravan at a good price. Lovely and clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Only negative, a bag of rubbish left on the decking, I guess from the last occupant, not an issue but thought it would have been removed prior to my arrival, it was still there when I left.

March 2023 Loved our recent stay here at the Lakes,Chose Lakehouse accommodation it didn’t disappoint. Loved the log burner great addition as was the welcome pack. Guest services welcome was brilliant. Can’t wait to book for return stay later in year. Excellent bus service from main road too. Thank You.

We were very pleased with the accommodation. Some of the facilities were not available but this was expected as it was out of season. We did have an issue with the electrics on the second evening but the on call staff were quick to respond and when they could not fix the problem they dealt with the situation quickly by moving us to another chalet which was a higher spec. Great central location, lovely settings and an enjoyable experience. We would and have recommended to friends and would certainly stay there again in the future.

The lake house was really good value for money. Clean, decorated well and basic essentials all provided. Would stay again
