The Lakes Rookley Holiday Park

Reception staff were helpful. Pool staff went out of their way to help with the shower. Lodge was comfortable and mainly clean. Grill pan needed washing and carpet soiled in places. I couldn’t get the grill to remain lit. Maybe I wasn’t using it correctly??? Overall, lodge was comfortable, adequately equipped and well heated. Thank you for a lovely time.

Everthing about Rookley is Outstanding, as a Islander I stay there on quiter time for relaxation. Staff are very good on all aspects. Regards Mr A Newman

It was a lovely place to stay on the island thoroughly enjoyed it beautiful facilities and nice and quiet. I highly recommend it for families and couples that just want a short break the hot tub made it perfect 👍

Overall personal rating for this property is 4 out of 5 so an enjoyable stay. Breaking down the rating a bit... caravan 4.5/5 (spacious with plenty of storage, shame there is no handwash nor hair dryer); location 4.5/5 (you definitely need a car as there isn't much in Rookley but then everything on the island is a short drive away); cleanliness 4/5 (not spotless but no major issues either); amenities 4/5 (we have only used the swimming pool and the arcade room, not the restaurant, all fine apart from a grim changing room); noise 4/5 (being off season it was generally quiet but we could hear very clearly the conversation the people next door were having when they sat on their patio).

I was disappointed that we never had a jacuzzi as was advertised on booking, also no ferry discount as usually you get at b&b /hotels on the island. They advertise on their site but I received nothing via email. I paid single ferry to enquire of discount when I was there,but still wasn’t offered for my return. On arrival to the superior lodge that ended up being a caravan, there was no toilet rolls, in the bathroom,en-suite. Which was annoying .( We noticed on leaving the cleaners had them to put in when we left but we didn’t get any , is that normal?). The fireplace had an object stuck in it! Maintenance was called to sort out. The remote control stopped working for tv , I went and spoke to lady in restaurant and their rapid response was ace, and problem solved. The caravan was modern and comfortable we enjoyed our stay.

Ideal for a short getaway. Clean, tidy and warm. Excellent grounds. Staff very welcoming. Only downside was the WiFi only being available in the main building and not in the accommodation itself.

We really liked the van and surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Our only negative was the fact that there were very little parking spaces!
