The Lakes Rookley Holiday Park

Had a great stay at the Lakes. Lakeside lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely log burner, however, no logs or firelighters provided which isn’t a problem but would be good if you could buy these on site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was a great base to explore the island. Would definitely return.

High standards set for our first Self Served Accommodation. The luxury caravans were incredibly clean, comfortable, and extremely affordable. We had boiler issues on the first morning, but the Guest Services staff were incredibly proactive and were radioing the maintenance team as we spoke to them. We had someone out to remedy the situation by the time we arrived back at our caravan. Would absolutely choose this location again, and would consider Away Resorts in other locations around the UK.

Was a lovely stay. Really peaceful and relaxing especially in the hottub. Staff always helpful and polite. Cottage was lovely and clean. Can not fault the stay. Me and my partner have been here 3 times so far and will definitely keep coming back 2/3 times a year as we live on the isle of wight.

No wifi offered however that was lovely we didn't sit on our phones - Pet friendly accommodation was a good standard and size

Visited in November and the site was very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was warm and comfortable. The location was an ideal base for walking and cycling trips around the island. All the staff that we met were very friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Great place to reset.

Very comfortable and beautiful rooms. Looked even better than the photos. Great having a private jacuzzi to use. Generally clean, though there was mold in the clothes washing detergent tray we had to clean out before using. Biggest glaring issues were 1) No in-room Wi-Fi; Wi-Fi only available in main area, which closes in the evening 2) Though there is a full kitchen, no basic condiments or supplies were provided. No paper or cloth towels, salt, pepper, dishwashing detergent, clothes washing detergent, nothing to clean with. There was a very nice welcome bag that included Prosecco, milk, tea, coffee and sugar, which was appreciated, but it would have been nicer to have other basic needs available. 3) No hairdryer in rooms; main desk charged a 5 pound deposit to borrow, which they waived when we weren't able to provide exact change.
