HM Grand Central Hotel

We are staying in this hotel right now and there will be no hot water for 4 days. But they’re still charging pretty much full price for the rooms. Some minor discounts available if you’re prepared to spend more money on their services as compensation. Shocking. Don’t book here

We stayed in a few different properties on our recent trip to Cambodia, and I was really impressed with the quality and price of this hotel. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, so I don't know what the standard rooms are like for size, but I would expect them to be of the same standard as our suite, but perhaps slightly smaller. As well as lovely room and huge and comfortable bed, the bathroom/wet room was huge and beautifully clean. The shower was fantastic - possible the best I've ever used! - and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The hotel has a gym, spa, hot and cold tubs, a pool and a rooftop bar which served good food at very little more than any of the other eating places we tried. The staff, like almost everybody we met during our trip, were friendly and helpful so I would recommend that ifIf you're after a bit of luxury, at probably a tenth of the price you'd pay in a major European city, try the HM Grand Hotel.

This was the fourth time staying here as each of the previous stays were good. However this will be the last time we stay there due to unsatisfactory service. In particular, the nightshift male front desk cover. He was particularly rude to my partner. He asked her for ID which was unwarranted, knowing full well I did not understand what he was questioning about. He was clearly not asking other guests the same. On a second occasion he was reluctant to say the least, to help with a problem with our keycard to the room. He claimed it was expired even though he had just watched me use it to gain lift access. In addition many, but not all, of the staff seemed uninterested in helping out with simple requests. This was disappointing as on previous visits that was not the case.

I loved it

Very nice pool area with sun and shade. However mainly for sunbathers. Why not add a few umbrellas for those guests that cannot lie in the sun. Area around the hotel lacks restaurants

Friendly staff convenient location

All round great hotel cant fault it only snag seemed to be the swimming pool with limited sun which cast a shadow on the pool very cold but apart from that very happy 😊

Convenient location, good selection at breakfast and they changed up the menu each day. Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop lounge was very convenient, we ate there nearly every night. Gym had a ping pong table, great space to relax or workout. The spa/steam room combo was the best.
