Nice room, with good beds and a good bathroom on the first floor. Easy access.

I have stayed at this property in the past and liked the location. It isn’t located downtown so not in the crowds you sometimes find in downtown. Has good parking. Breakfast is good. Room was clean.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was not helpful or friendly. There was a problem with my reservation and she told me she couldn’t fix the issue and I needed to resolve it myself. I showed her a copy of my reservation and she said that didn’t matter. I had a hard copy of the reservation and a copy on my phone. I was able to make a call and get the reservation sorted. The WIFI at the hotel does not work well. It constantly went down or kick me off the service. On the third day of my stay I asked the front desk if there was a mailbox or if the desk could send out mail that I had prepared and was already stamped. The front desk staff said she didn’t know if she could send out mail for guests. She said perhaps check with the restaurant staff about mailing my cards- which made no sense. Perhaps the front desk staff isn’t trained or just not interested in helping guests. I found the customer service at the property not good or what I would expect.

Location good. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful. Lack of customer service from front desk staff really negatively impacted our stay. Rooms clean. WIFI not good and constantly kicked me off. The property states there is a shuttle service for a fee but there isn’t one. The staff said it is only available sometimes- but not during the three days we were at the property. The breakfast is good and restaurant staff helpful and pleasant. Front desk staff obviously needs to be trained.

The location was very difficult to find. Even several people coming in with me were as confused as I whether we were in the right place. The few staff I interacted with were very nice . Check and out was fine. The check in person stated she lived in Asheville her whole life and didn’t know Crowne Plaza was there. Very nice room , comfortable, clean, as was the entire place. I worried more that I was making too much noise with the t.v. . Now for the downside. The internet connection was horrible. There were only two ports on the lamps, neither worked. I had to borrow an adapter from a server and plug in at the bar in order to charge one device the first night. I spent valuable time and money going to Best Buy for adapters and cords. If you decide to stay bring a universal charger, adapters , cords and any other device charging needs . As well the T.V. remote had to be held” just right” in order to function. And the channels were poor. Finally, for the price to stay for two nights, breakfast should have been included. It was a nice buffet , but no nicer than other hotels ‘ that include buffets . The Crowne breakfast was not worth $20. The many excellent points the Plaza had didn’t make up for the issues I’ve mentioned. Sadly I won’t stay there again.

I stayed at Crowne Plaza in Asheville with my husband and 2 toddlers. On the second night of our stay the shower faucet detached while I was showering and hit me in my leg. I immediately took pictures and videos and alerted the front desk as this was a huge safety concern. I let staff know that my biggest concern was that had my toddlers been the one in the shower they could have been seriously injured. I was told that no manager was at the hotel and I would be helped in the morning. The next morning maintenance and the head of housekeeping came to the room. Upon opening the door I greeted them both and they rudely entered, clearly upset, and went into the bathroom to see the tub. The head of housekeeping, Ramona, came out of the bathroom and asked me what happened. After explaining what happened she asked to see my leg and I explained I did not have any bruises and just wanted to make them aware of the concern she then grabbed my leg so she could examine herself. I am 5 months visibly pregnant and the fact that she put her hands on me without consent was unacceptable. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager and was told one would be here at 12 and would contact me immediately even though I was checking out. I called right after 3pm to see why no one had reached out and was told a manager would not be in until Tuesday and that I would be contacted then. I had to reach out to corporate in order to get a response and was ultimately offered a very small amount of reward points to our account but was told a refund was not an option. I am so hurt by the actions of the Crowne Plaza staff, specifically Ramona. I was treated so inhumanly when all I wanted was to make staff aware of a safety concern.

We had a very enjoyable experience at this property during a short weekend trip. While it's not in downtown Asheville, it is close. A reasonably priced shuttle will take you to & from there without a hassle so that you can experience this unique city. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. They were the epitome of Southern hospitality. While the common areas of this property look great as if they were recently updated, the room seemed a little worn and dated, but was very clean and comfortable. Two thumbs up for this place
