Świetne śniadania, zamawialiśmy do pokoju, chyba najlepsze jakie jedliśmy, a podróżujemy dużo.

"A peaceful rice-field retreat, if calm matters more than convenience"

8.0

We were choosing between this and a highly recommended city hotel. We wanted a true retreat to come back to, and this was the right call. It’s in Mae Rim, so most things involve a drive, but Chiang Mai is still easy by car. The trade only shows up if you try to do multiple round trips in a day (Wat Phra That Doi Suthep at sunrise, back to relax, then into the Old City for dinner). A few notes: Common areas We stayed during festive season, and occupancy was high, but it rarely felt crowded. I’d credit the landscape design for that. Common areas stayed calm and there was ample space at the adults-only pool. Breakfast was the one area that felt crowded, especially late morning. We followed up on a few orders, and there was no greeting at the entrance. Earlier in the morning was no issue. Room selection We stayed in an Upper Garden Pavilion, and I’d recommend an upper-level pavilion. The extra height lends itself to more privacy, and the veranda is genuinely usable. We found it perfect for reading or a quiet meditation between activities. One nitpicky point for a resort at this level: a few small finish issues that went beyond normal wear and tear should’ve been caught before arrival. Nothing was broken per se or limited functionality of the room. The team offered to move us and did what they could to remediate, but we were already settled and didn’t want the disruption. Service and communication Service was professional and consistent, but it didn’t feel especially personalized. The app helped bridge that gap—we could handle small requests or get a quick suggestion without stopping at the front desk. Housekeeping was the one area that felt a bit awkward and could’ve been tightened up. Morning make-up timing was sometimes inconvenient. Turndown was more standard than personalized. None of this was a major issue, but at this price point it should feel seamless. Dining On-property dining is good, but local restaurants in Mae Rim and the Old City are worth the effort. Thai Kitchen Live is the exception. I won’t spoil the surprises, but I’d book it for your first evening. Breakfast was an F&B highlight. Action stations, fruit stations, Thai options, and the standard western options were all excellent. Even with the late-morning crowding, it was one of the better hotel breakfasts in the Four Seasons portfolio. North by Four Seasons was a miss for us. Service ran slow because of a kitchen issue, and the menu felt surprisingly generic relative to the setting. Grounds and on-property activities The grounds are a big reason this place works. You can spend the day moving between the adults-only pool and the rice fields and feel like you actually stayed at the resort, not only used it as a base. Rice planting and buffalo washing are both worth doing. There are other more active experiences and and what I heard to be an amazing spa, but did not take advantage of those. I’d plan for at least one full day on-property. Final take This property is currently rated as a Three MICHELIN Key resort, so expectations were naturally high. Even with a few misses, it wouldn’t change the recommendation. This was one of the strongest Four Seasons stays we’ve enjoyed. At this price point, everything should feel fully polished, and a few things weren’t, which surprised us.

"Relaxing Stay in a Beautiful Rural Setting"

10.0

We loved our stay at Four Seasons Chiang Mai. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, with rice fields, lush gardens and views of the hills. The grounds are well kept and the whole property feels calm. Staff were consistently courteous, warm and attentive. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and a place we were happy to spend time and relax. The veranda was a highlight. Each room includes a veranda with a swinging seat or lounge. We spent our evenings out there looking over the gardens and taking in the views. We expected resort pricing and this is a premium stay. Even so, food and drinks felt high compared with prices in Chiang Mai, and there are limited alternatives close to the hotel. It helps to know this before you arrive, so you plan around it. We also did not enjoy the daily farmers parade. Each afternoon staff walk through the resort with instruments and singing for about ten minutes. It felt staged rather than authentic and did not add to the experience for us, although other guests might enjoy it. Overall, Four Seasons Chiang Mai is a beautiful property with excellent service and a peaceful setting, ideal for a special occasion or a getaway.
