La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Wichita Falls

Had a prostitute working the parking lot rooms were moldy even the employees were sketchy

What bothered me the most was that when I put the address for this motel on my GPS, it was taking me to another location, in the middle of the freeway somewhere. When I arrived, a staff member treated me and welcomed me appropriately, which compensated, to an extent, the confusion of the location of the building. When I arrive to my room, the bed sheet had a cigarette burn hole and most of the towels were dirty filled with debris. I was not able to get a good night sleep, because the water from the shower faucet kept dripping, I did not bother to go talk to the staff about it because it was past midnight. And another thing that was not convenient was that the coffee maker did not had all the complete parts to make coffee.

Signs indicate that property is being renovated. La Quinta is our hotel of choice traveling but this one should not have a La Quinta name. Carpet frayed, leak from bathroom above. Room 116 should be reported to health department.

This hotel advertises to be a "non-smoking" hotel, which is not true because they, either guests and/or employees, smoke marijuana inside the lobby. I went inside the lobby to check-in and less than a minute later I had to walk out of there because the stench of marijuana was unbearable, I immediately became nauseous and my stomach was in a knot. The stench was not outside in the open air, it was INSIDE the lobby. So it's totally preposterous for them to forbid cigarette smoking but allow marijuana smoking inside the building. Not only do they foster a ghetto feel to the facility, but they also give La Quinta hotels a bad name. I travel frequently from coast to coast, and had not yet come across a La Quinta hotel as ghetto as this one. So disappointing!

Overall the facility was in disrepair. I understand it was under renovation but that was not abundantly or made explicitly clear at the time of booking. The original room offered had a whole in the ceiling and actively leaking water into the floor. The staff were very helpful in getting a new room assigned right away. The second room had dead crickets on the floor and the smoke detector had been removed. The overall decor and rooms were dilapidated and I became concerned for bed bugs as the mattresses on both beds were stained had no mattress covers, causing me to purchase disinfectant sprays and sheets and bedding that I used on top of the bed. The furniture and lighting fixtures in the room were mismatched and in disrepair. The entry door to the room and door jam were not level with cracks around the seams. The door was dented and the lock was loose. The lobby appeared updated. The staff were helpful and friendly.

There was a time when you could count on consistent delivery of service and comfort. That just isn't so anymore. This property certainly does not live up to the Old La Quinta and certainly not to newer hotels. When I stayed at this property the Front Desk clerk was absent (no one in the Lobby); eventually a maintenance man came in and said "she'll be back soon" (20 minutes later). Then the clerk said the system was down but she could photocopy my ID and credit card and I could run this later. When I checked out the next day my card was still not run. The room was adequate but not exactly clean. I went to the Lobby around 8 pm and found the Front Desk clerk involved in a heated argument with a customer who wanted her money back. The argument was heated, and I left before it was resolved There was supposed to be a breakfast included; but there was absolutely nothing in the Lobby-no coffee even-nothing. When I looked at my credit card statement I realized that the card had been compromised with charges on it that I had not authorized. The franchisor isn't doing its job and consequently the franchisee isn't managing this property very well. I was asked for Feedback (which I offered) and I in turn asked for a response from management. Two emails and a couple of phone calls were never returned.

Very friendly and accommodating front desk personnel. Beds were very comfortable and room was very clean. I'm glad that we chose this off the interstate motel for our stay. Very reasonably priced.....

Free breakfast but room did not have a phone or remote.
