Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert

A nice staff, with a happy hour hour that can be improved with finger sandwiches, soup and an upgraded menu. The breakfast was good. Improvement with fresh cooked oatmeal vs packages of oatmeal. Overall, a great experience. The bathroom needs renovations in the rooms. A local complimentary shuttle for guests in a 5 mile radius would be good for guests.

The location is great. The happy hour and breakfast are delicious. Unfortunately the location needs a total remodel. Bathroom looks like it had dry with holes on the floor by the baseboards that look like animals could get in and out of. Staff was wonderful. Pool was heated, but not very warm at all. That’s were comfortable, but the noise of people walking upstairs was very loud. Just be aware of these things and you will have a pleasant stay.

i like the bed / mattress the best. During the trip, I stayed at 5 different hotel, 3 different embassy suits, the one at palm spring has the mattress I love. bit firm. Thank you.

Very quiet and clean

I couldn’t take my complimentary breakfast to my room.

My husband and I stayed here January 4 -7. We decided to stay even though past reviews even mentioned the poor, rundown condition, many of the recent reviews suggested there had been big improvements. We lost the gamble. We’re wondering where those reviews came from?? The staff were very kind, and we appreciate that. We’d reserved an executive king suite, thinking the larger room would be good since we were staying a few nights. Room 147 on the first floor was stark, dark, and the hard floors made it seem cavernous. The only table was a large (damaged) conference table with six chairs. There was no cozy dining table and chairs. The freezer in the fridge was coated with inches of frost, making the appliance unusable. The bathroom sink was cracked as well as the shower base. The window coverings were badly damaged. Then we figured out that the room was a designated pet room. We responded negation a text from the front desk asking if everything was okay so they responded asking asked if we would like to see another room and we said yes. They gave us a queen room. 208 was much cozier, and had new carpet in the front living room. The carpet in the bedroom was badly stained—should’ve been replaced with the other. The bathroom was in better shape than the first, but still had some maintenance issues. Both had the tiniest bathrooms we’d seen in a hotel for years. The breakfast was okay. The made-to-order omelets were wonderful. The buffet of warm dishes was good. Plenty of coffee, tea, juices. The bartenders at manager’s reception made good drinks. The finger food consisted of chips and salsa and celery/carrot/ sticks and some “fresh” brocolli with dip. Very minimal. The courtyard was nice. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub. The landscaping was minimal, and the walking areas were not kept clean—bird droppings under the exposed pipes. This is a great location, but the hotel itself is a disappointment. A major renovation is in order. Hilton, you need to step it up and give the folks at this hotel some support. Not recommended.

Good location

Pay for parking is ridiculous money grab. Stay across the street at nicer hotels and free parking. Upon realizing we had to pay for parking, was major turn off
