Comfort Inn Syosset-Long Island

This hotel stay was one of the worst experiences I have had as far as accommodations are concerned. The hotel is not safe. They seem to have a less than desirable clientele, perhaps housing the homeless, which is not advertised of course. Otherwise, I would not have chosen to stay here. At 6:30 a.m., while trying to get a cup of coffee in the lobby, I was approached by a strange man who was half drunk, trying to pick me up, while my husband was upstairs. The breakfast area was unsanitary with one "gentleman" who came in from outside, filling empty two liter soda bottles with orange and apple juice, and then proceeding to clean out the cream cheese from the refrigerator and packing his pockets. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, but felt unsafe. We checked out after one night. The management was understanding, and did not charge us a penalty for the other two nights. Lesson learned. Spend a little more, and stay at a better class of hotel for comfort and security. Hope this helps someone else in the future.

There's not much parking. If you arrive late at night ypu will have to find street parking. Location is not bad, the rooms are enough for you have something clean to lay your head down. The rooms are not big.

Breakfast was awful. The rooms have very thin walls, and are too close together. You can hear everything from several rooms. I would never stay here again -- and would encourage others tos stay anywhere else.

No hot water. Homeless at hotel.

I promptly reported a man trying to force his way into a woman's room, and the staff did not follow up promptly to ensure safety. The place was a dive. Dark lobby, condemned businesses all around it.

It was a very loud area and we heard loud trucks all night. The blankets didn’t look very clean, pillows weren’t great, old carpeting on the floor. Shower was hot and cold. One of the reasons we chose it was for the breakfast but it wasn’t well prepared and it was cold and setup was unorganized.

I would pay more for a better location. This was surprisingly bad as far as feeling safe to walk short distances outside. Also, a man was trying to get into a woman's room, and i reported it to the staff. The staff didn't follow up when i called and asked them to check on her! I would find a better place.

Suite room advertised that it slept 6 but the pullout bed is about as big as a twin size bed and definitely cannot fit 2 people
