Baymont by Wyndham Hot Springs

The location was good and centrally located, easy to find and ample parking. The price was fair and what drew us in--we're not super picky and really just looking for a clean, comfortable place to sleep and shower. A hot tub is always a nice draw and good way to wrap up a day of travel or sightseeing.

The property is very tired looking and not well kept (see photos of our bathroom)--interestingly I had a similar experience when I stayed at a Wyndham in IL recently but despite the tired look of that property they at least got the customer service and amenities right. For this stay, it was disappointing. Everything from the sparse towels and tired linens and bad window coverings that were FAR from blackout (hello sunrise!), the skimpy breakfast to the empty pool/hot tub, broken ice machine and loud, rattling pipes felt unwelcoming and as if they were unprepared to do business. While the staff did ask how things were it was awkward. For example, we asked for more towels (room for two had two bath towels, one wash cloth and a bathmat)--specifically a couple of wash clothes and a hand towel and then were given a bath towel, one wash cloth and a hand towel. The final morning of our stay, as we got coffee, the manager (?) approached us and asked how our stay was and told us that he "just took over management today" and that next time we would see a difference, that the pool, hot tub and ice machine would be working and that they are getting new linens--all fine and good but of course no help for this trip.

Everything.. the room was not clean, it took over 40 minutes to find the staff member, he offered a room that was not suitable for 3 people. The whole place was dirty, boards in windows, the pool was not operating

The continental breakfast was just bread for toast, juice and cereal. I miss the days of sausages and waffles.

Booked a king suite with a spa tub through a 3rd party. When I arrived, i paid and they gave me my key cards. It was a queen suite with a pull out couch. I specifically came for the spa tub (and their pool is out of order). I told them I booked a king suite with a spa tub and showed them my booking. They said they already have both those rooms booked. I told them that’s fine but I’ll just cancel my room and find another hotel with a spa tub or pool (that’s the primary reason I booked). They said I had to go through bookings.com to cancel (even though I paid at hotel). I went through bookings to get a refund and the hotel gave myself and bookings the runaround and wouldn’t refund even though I didn’t stay there. Complete non-sense, bad business and wouldn’t recommend. I will never stay there again (I stayed there probably a total of 4 times in 10 years). Unacceptable!

Pool is out of order and has been out of order for years! Facility looks old and unclean.

Room was nice and clean. Sheets and towels nice and soft.

Registration could be easier to mark handicap room needed, also pet coming since listed as pet friendly. Mentioning $20 unrefundable deposit for pet. Having a $100 deposit because I used cash was not explained in registration.

Close to a grocery store and gas station

Front desk was not at front desk, breakfast was not done. Place was run down and sink didn’t drain. Bathroom light would turn on and make a noise from the fan and would stop. I booked a 4 night stay and only stayed 1 night and have been trying to reach them about my refund for 3 nights and no word from this place. And not to mention our sheets had stains on them
