Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort - a concept by Hyatt

Stunning property in Wailea. We enjoyed our honeymoon at the Andaz and had a wonderful time. The hotel grounds are gorgeous with several infinity pools and an adults only pool. Not many kids at the resort which was perfect as we wanted a hotel that was great for couples as we are a couple without kids in our 30s and this hotel was the right vibe we were looking for. Kai was super nice at check in and hospitable. We arrived early and she gave us access to a lounge to change, and the room was ready shortly after. Our room was a Partial Ocean view however I'd even consider it just ocean view as it had no obstruction of the ocean and had both views of gorgeous plants and the ocean. Instead of the stairs by the pool, what was cool was the walkway that was more like a botanical garden that I feel most people miss. Had an abundance of plant life and labels of each plant too which was so cool. We utilized the nice gym everyday which also offered classes. The hotel provides a lot of activities and while we were here 5 nights, we could honestly stay another week to do more activities on an off the resort. Maui has it all. The beach area was pristine with nice chairs and umbrella included in your rate. The town of Wailea is truly luxurious and were blown away. Loved the coffee shop/convenience store too. While we didn't partake in the Luau we ate at Morimoto with a view of the Luau which was a great combo. The hotel offers so much and would love to return again. Thank you for a remarkable stay as it rejuvenated us gave us a peaceful break from our daily hustle and bustle.

Do not go to this hotel. Pick any other hotel. There are many choices in Wailea that are much more clean and offer much better amenities. The room had roaches -- many of them -- even some coming out of the toilet and others walking up the shower walls (not joking about either of those). It was a nightmare. The staff was very rude and did not do anything to reflect that they cared about our stay. The towels had stains on them. If you leave the lights on in your room when you go out to dinner, you will come back to dozens of flies in your room. The elevators smell like body odor. The Andaz is like a nightmare side-of-the-road motel for the price of a luxury resort. A total disaster.

I had high expectations for the Andaz Maui given the pricing and reputation, but the overall experience fell short in several key areas. The $60 per night parking fee is excessive, and more importantly, it was not disclosed at check-in. For a property at this level, that lack of transparency is unacceptable and immediately undermines trust. There was also a significant gnat problem during our stay. While I understand that this can be environmental, the hotel made no effort to acknowledge or communicate this at check-in. That lack of proactive communication reflects poorly on guest service standards. The poolside food was underwhelming and overpriced. For a resort positioning itself as premium, the quality simply didn’t match the pricing or expectations. Also be aware for the prices at the 5th floor coffee bar. I paid 17 dollars for a cappuccino with extra shot. Overall, the room rates are extremely high, but the experience does not justify the cost. At this price point, attention to detail, transparency, and quality should be flawless... unfortunately, that was not the case here. There are better value options in Wailea.

We chose Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort for our wedding trip, expecting a memorable and special experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short. Check-in immediately set the tone. I had booked an Ocean View King room using points, but the front desk agent insisted this was an “upgrade” and even questioned whether that room could be booked with points at all. Despite showing my confirmation, I had to go back and forth just to validate my own reservation. Not the way you want to start your wedding stay. What was more surprising was the complete lack of acknowledgment of our wedding. We had communicated this multiple times in advance, but there was no note, no small gesture, and no recognition from staff unless we brought it up ourselves. A “gesture” was offered in the form of drink vouchers, but they required purchasing food and were presented as if they were a significant favor, which didn’t feel thoughtful. Overall, the experience lacked attention to detail and basic hospitality—especially for a milestone occasion. We had hoped this would be a place we’d return to for anniversaries, but it didn’t feel like the hotel prioritizes or values special celebrations. For a property at this level, I expected much more.

I didn’t like anything about the property

People are not happy or accommodating property was extremely dirty rooms were dirty. When you ask the housekeepers to clean they had it attitude about it.

Paradise in Wailea. This was my third time staying in Wailea - first at Andaz. My family of 5 stayed in an Ilikai Villa which was amazing. We grabbed snacks at the island grocer and loved being able to do laundry. The space and amenities and views made our trip incredible. Highly recommend the modern Mai Tai at the pool, the omlets at breakfast were fresh and delish, and the water at the beach crystal clear. We had attentive service throughout. Breakfast wait times were long so just plan ahead and put your name in - they messsage you when you're table is ready. Already plotting our return!!!

Our stay at Andaz Maui Wailea was the most perfect. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The pools and beach along with the food and amenities all made our stay relaxing and amazing. This property is exceptional opportunity to truly be in paradise.

Fabulous second stay at this property! It is my favorite Hyatt property and we loved coming back. The setting is gorgeous and the size is perfect - it doesn't seem too big or too small. The service was spectacular. A special shout out to Aspen for helping us and making our stay extra special!!! Our 12yo loved it as well. Not just for adults. Best Globalist breakfast buffet! Loved having the free shuttle to nearby restaurants, too.

Concierge was super helpful, A+ , private beach area.

No self park, 100% valet at $50+ a day, getting your room cleaned was a hassle. For $900+ a night, I expect premium service. No ice on each floor. We were odd level, only even had ice and water refill stations. AC was erratic. Shower drain had to be addressed, phone service went out had to have serviced.

Wonderful time at the Andaz! Not only is this resort absolutely beautiful, but the staff just go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and having a good time. We had two toddlers with us and everyone and everywhere were so accommodating. Breakfast at Ka'ana Kitchen was a highlight for sure and the lunch menu at Bumbye Bar was great for the whole family. With the different pool tiers and gorgeous beach there's really something for everyone (family, couples, adults, etc). Can't wait to visit again!
