The right room for a stay.

Unpleasant smells, threadbare, stained bedroom carpet. The place needed some TLC. But it was cheap!

My booking said to check in between 2 and 9 PM. I arrived at 7 PM to find the bar closed and nobody in sight to check in with. 2 different numbers provided were unanswered, and I waited outside for around an hour until I was finally able to get in touch with the hotelier thanks to the antique dealer next door, who does answer his phone. Upon arriving, the hotelier explained that he had forgotten he had any bookings that night. He seemed very unfamiliar with the booking system in general. The room itself was a bit grubby, with stains on the floor and holes in walls, but this was more or less what I expected for this price point. The beds, however, were awful, with loud springs that dug into your ribs as you lay there, and sheets too small for the bed. The wifi was also incredibly spotty, and the shower fluctuated between cold and burning hot regardless of its setting. The small, open laundry bin in the corner also appeared to have a vomit-soaked towel in it.

Long wait to check in (half Ann hour) despite arranging an arrival time. Although clean enough the bathrooms were very tired- no plugs for basins in either, and hole in one which coolly be used if prepared to flood the floor!

Unfortunately, because of the amount of stairs to the room, we had to find further accomodation on a level, this is because of my wifes disabilty

What i didn't like is that's at the bar is cart payment only my own personal preference is to have a choice witch they didn't give us otherwise the hotel is nice and clean staff is friendly.

The property is out dated but perfect for what I needed, the price can’t be beaten

It was very difficult to check in and out no one about to help. Very threadbare carpet broken lampshade no plug in the bathroom sink very tired place needs tlc but view from room was great and in a good area

Lovely friendly staff, property is just dated and needs a lot of TLS. Bedroom smelt of stale smoke. But loved the bay window seating. We had a little picnic there admiring the view.

I couldn't even stay there it was discussing. Everything was dirty toilet leaked. Stain beding. And had to play before I saw the room so now lost my money because they said they couldn't refund me.
