Nathalie the zBar Manager was very helpful and room was good value for money. Great location to explore the historic sights and good choice of restaurants and bars nearby.

Shared toilet was very flithy

If you dont mind stairs and sharing a bathroom, its a great place Good value. Best location.

Excellent pub, clean cozy room, great view from window seat of Portsmouth. Our meals were excelllent. Will visit again.

Owners didnt bother to get parking permits, so had to pay almost £14 a day to park car. Not impressed. Most expensive pint in whole of portsmouth £6.80. Way over the top considering run down state of place. Even dearer than central london. Sink had hole in it so water went straight on floor. On the one plus side, bed was comfortable.

The hotel should be condemned! We arrived to what looked like a closed down hotel. I contacted the hotel number - no answer. I then contacted the mobile number and were told someone is in the hotel and will open the door. Booking in time was 14:00, this was 15:10, after waiting another 30 min. I rang the mobile number again. I was told someone is on their way should arrive within a couple of minutes. After yet another 10 min, I called the same mobile number. NO ANSWER! I’ve tried 6 calls, NO ANSWER! At 16:20, a very young lady came out, said she is there to book us in. Going to the room is through the back of the bar, where you had to climb over boxes. The room itself was dirty and mouldy with blood stain towels. Shared bathrooms with crack and holes in shower and sink. The local Environment office has been informed.

This hotel has no reception and do not answer the phone, so you can’t even get into the place. That didn’t stop them from charging me for the pleasure. Charlatans.
