Shower not working in en-suite, threadbare carpets. But it’s a bed in a nice location

I have to sat it was very basic and does need a lot of TLC. Carpets in the 2 different rooms we stayed in were thread bare in places. Some of the milk cartons wre out of date and off. The staff were very friendly and the food is good. Would we stay there again, probably not, but was a place ro sleep for just 1 night at each side of our holiday on the Isle of Wight.

Honestly, it wasn’t what we expected. Bad points: Not really suitable for a family with young children due to the amount of steep stairs. The parking wasn’t explained properly to us after paying for permits and we ended up with a parking ticket on our first night there. The pub itself couldn’t cater for us on the first night either as there had been no food delivery, however the rule was ‘no food in the rooms’. We were overcharged for the permits (although refunded) and if we hadn’t realised then this is another down point. Tv way too small for the room. Carpets not clean or hoovered. Dust gathered under bed. Floor in bathroom felt like it was about to cave in. Noise from a generator or something like all night, but not during the day. Close to the victorious site and cheaper than other places in the area. But wouldn’t recommend or use again. So glad we had book for one night. Room had a en-suite but the shower didn’t work. So glad there was a shared shower room on our level, however the lock on the door didn’t work either. Threadbare carpet in the room and the tv had seen better days. Room is in dire need of a refurbish.

We were met with an issue with the card machine connection which meant I wasnt able to pay for my stay with my card securely on a card machine. They asked if i was able to pay with cash and i wasnt able (not many people carry that cash amount with them and especially those going to a festival). I offered to pay what i had in cash and pay the rest when the card machine was up and running. The female staff member chimed in and said no that wont work for us and i said oh okay sorry i wasnt expecting an issue with the cards and they replied well its not our fault either its the festival causing the issue. Came across pretty rude and hostile to be honest, there was no manager in sight & i didnt feel comfortable giving some stranger my full card details for them to process at the later date but she insisted thats the only way they could let us stay. Bad customer service and bad attitude for an issue which was not caused by me. I relunctantly left them with my details on a small piece of paper to which i then saw this same female staff member transpose this into a ring binder folder. Felt really fraudulent and unsafe but we didnt have any other place to stay. I even offered to stay and wait until they opened the next day and pay on exit with the manager but that wasnt good. The other team member escorted us to the room. Room was dated but clean, the co worker told us all the information was on a piece of paper on wall and maybe wifi would work, normally doesnt though. Id did the job

Very Very dirty, dusty. carpets was very sticky.did not take off my shoes. please pay bit more stay in different property. photos were taken when I checked in.

Gave me the wrong room key and the key gave me opened my door which it should not have been possible and then tried to watch tv and the tv didn't work

The mattress had zero cushioning. We slept on bed springs covered by fabric. The carpet was really nasty and the whole place needs panting. Overall it needs a major re-do! Also tons of stairs. It was over 50 stair steps to our room.

Hello I'm not we're happy in room carpet not good uno chower not working. Need big repairs for this house. Live for two night not changing towels not cleaned room. Too much hot i i sweating slipping two nights in this house nothing change. Staff it's ok very friendly person i happy.

I booked this for my grandson so i didn't actually stay there i booked 4 nights for him on the the 3rd day having been he returned to find his belongings remove d from his room thinking they had been stolen he found them in the bar area downstairs not in a safe area the excuse was they booked in the wrong room still they should have informed him first
