Staff, room, restaurant - all were great. Convenient Aguiti reserve is next door and we saw Monkeys, Coatis, and Agutis all on the hotel grounds.
We stayed in a beautiful hillside bungalow. It is very quiet at the resort and there is plenty of nature to see. We saw baby coatis running all around. The restaurant had good food and the wait staff is pleasant. After our first meal they remembered our names and used them each time they saw us. It is a bit of a drive up a gravel road but worth the effort.
Great place
Of the three hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica in similar price range, this was the best. The hotel is up in the mountains, is extremely well kept, have their own sloth sanctuary and trails behind that hotel that you can walk. The staff are quite nice, respectful and friendly. We had a great time.
This hotel was absolutely beautiful and each room was perfect for our stay. We traveled as a family of four and had two rooms that adjoined every staff member was so helpful, friendly, and truly went out of their way to make us feel special and to make sure we had an amazing vacation. This hotel was central to all of the excursions that you want to do in the surrounding area and close to many other restaurants off the property. The view from the hotel restaurant is breathtaking.

I almost don't want to say how much we loved this place because I don't want to lose out on a chance to return. Rooms: incredible. Weather: incredible. Staff: incredible. Food/drinks: incredible. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem - the website doesn't do it justice AT ALL. I want to take over their marketing for them except it would just result in more business for them and higher prices for all!!!
An extraordinary stay in Monteverde, Koora's team was incredible -- they went above and beyond to make our stay special. It's a gem of a find; we recommend Koora without reservation! I do love this hotel the view and atmosphere, however, distance to our room was far they did helped us with our luggage and pretty sure they would at the end, but we didn’t ask it was a struggle especially with some of the walkways were steep. The pool was small and cute. The staff are very helpful when booking excursions. A lot of things to do around Monteverde.
We booked a single night here at the very last minute trying to escape the heat of the west coast beach towns. We were so glad we did. This hotel is absolutely stunning. We had one of the rooms upstairs from the lobby rather than one of the bungalows but the room was amazing with a spacious first floor, kitchenette, balcony and a very cool loft bedroom/bath. The grounds, particularly the park right next to the hotel, are stunning as is the view of the ocean and Nicoya Peninsula in the distances. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This was our first time visiting Monteverde and we'll certainly include it on our future trips to CR. We would absolutely recommend a stay at Koora. It's not inexpensive but you really do get what you pay for. Very nice.
