Shinola Hotel

The hotel and the staff were amazing!!!!!! The vault was perfect!!! Had a very pleasant experience for our anniversary!!!!!!

Way too pricey. My room 714 on 11/13 & 11/4 had a loud bang sound happening day and night, kept me awake a lot. The fan in the bathroom didn't stop. The inconvienence of the room key in the elevators was annoying. Wasn't told about the complimentary breakfast (until some guest told me) Valet price was ridiculous!!!!! The wedding which happen to be my sons, the staff screwed up the seating for the tables and had family all the way in the back, when should of been up front, The dessert table was BORING no decor or anything to make it look appetising. The FOOD / dinner took forever to be served. No supervision for guest arriving or direction to where to go and they were comning into the event space. For what they paid for this, I say POOR SERVICE. I would never recommend staying there, did not have a pleasant experience and feel some sort of compensation is necessary

I recommend all visitors to downtown Detroit visit Shinola fpr every experience they have to offer. Staying for at least 2 weeks next time.

Excellent Hotel! The rooms are fabulous! Complimentary Prosecco at check in. Only downside is the too dim lighting for applying makeup.

It was quite a surprise. The tasteful renovation of historical buildings was plus, as was the ease of walking to our business meetings closeby. The food choices within the hotel are great too--don't miss the main restaurant, and start your night with a drink by the fire ( real wood) in the lobby. Also-for a late night drink, find the hidden bar for a great nightcap spot. The rooms could use a little refreshing-one of my blinds was broken, walls and floors scuffed in spots. Nothing major at all. but it keeps it from an "excellent" rating in my book.

We weren’t sure what to expect of a hotel branded by a watch company, but they got it right. The room was thoughtfully appointed, the food outlets were plentiful and staffed by friendly associates, and the location is perfect for attending a game. We will happily be back.

Man this hotel was a 10/10, cannot lie. It was my friends and I first time in Detroit, I don’t we could’ve had a better welcome than the one we received at the Shinola Hotel. Special shout out to Will for introducing us to the place and teaching us so much about Detroit and its history. Will, along with a few others showed us a great time, this time is one my friends and I will always remember and one for the books!!

The Hotel, location and Staff were execellent. The Food quality at San Morello was great but service was well below average.
