"Not up to expectations"

Checked in to the Warwick looking forward to staying in a landmark hotel. The entryway and lobby have been nicely updated and are evocative of other trendy Marriott brands like the W. Got to the room, however, and there the illusion ended. Furniture is in poor condition, the bathroom wallpaper is peeling and there is mildew in the ceiling of the shower. Fixtures in the bathroom are rusted. See photos. Really shocked that a hotel in the Marriott "Tribute Collection" could be in this condition. Marriott really needs to make more site visits to properties like these to ensure that the guest experience is a positive one.

"TURNED AWAY"

Waste of time and energy. Turned away at their parking lot. Down the very narrow streets of Philadelphia. Actually, the entrance to the hotel parking is an alley. The parking lot was full. No other parking on the area. โ€œWe are backed upโ€; โ€œno spacesโ€; โ€œcan't help you are a guestโ€ Asked for a refund, we will see what happens.

"Disappointing"

Great location, parking around corner, friendly staff - but overwhelmed with full occupancy for graduation weekend

Our AC was loud and leaked water under carpet causing smelly mold on entire side of room. Housekeeping put towels over wet area, which turned brown. Hotel/city was at full occupancy and we didnโ€™t have time to try to arrange a room change. We notified hotel at checkout. They knew about it already, should not have rented out that room.

To start, the front desk staff was always friendly and professional. However, from there things got progressively worse. Firstly, checking in took 45 minutes and I was fourth in line. By the time I got my room key , the check in line was all the way to the front entrance/ revolving door. Next I was told housekeeping was every other day. The day for the first room cleaning didnโ€™t take place until 5:45 pm and there was no bar soap or shampoo left for our use. Two days later, the cleaning staff didnโ€™t come at all spite of me calling the front desk to remind them AND going down to the front desk to remind them to make sure we were on the listโ€” I saw the staff person write my room number down. The bathroom had urine stains on the floor around the toilet as well as peeling paint on the ceiling and rusty sink legs.Overall, not a pleasant stay.

"Average and Doesnโ€™t Honor Elite Benefits"

The Warwick Hotel Philadelphia, a Tribute Portfolio, has a good location near Rittenhouse Square. Rooms were basic. The hotel refused to honor the breakfast benefit for Platinum Elites. Tribute Portfolio Hotels are supposed to offer 1,000 points OR breakfast for 2 at the restaurant. This hotel clearly is skirting Marriott rules which are posted on their website. Donโ€™t expect any elite recognition.

The first room given to us already had an occupant and we went into the room and saw other peoples luggage, etc.. The second and third room smelled moldy and were dirty. We left and went to another hotel nearby. The staff was understanding, agreed that the rooms smelled, and were embarrassed.

Nice location but bad service. Toilet was running for all 3 days - told the front desk 4 times. Always sorry, but never fixed. Friend's room was not cleaned despite asking. Room had no soap. Called twice, finally went to CVS. Noisy in courtyard

The staff including the valet were awesome. The rooms are dated and there was a struggle to get hot water for showers. The front desk staff were very accommodating! Itโ€™s ok, location great.
