Great location, comfortable spacious room (upgraded to a suite), friendly helpful staff. Nice tub that I didn’t have time to use.

Was a bit disappointed with the restaurant, ate there years ago and it was special, not that great this time.

First, breakfast was not complimentary but provided only as a USD 30 credit per person. For a standard breakfast, the total charge for two people reached approximately USD 120, while the total credit was only USD 60. This resulted in a significant out-of-pocket expense and did not align with the expectations typically associated with the FHR breakfast benefit. Second, the breakfast service was extremely slow and poorly executed. From the time we were seated to the time we actually received our food, the wait was over 40 minutes. Even after placing our order, there was a long delay before the food arrived. The food quality itself was also disappointing; for example, the toast was served cold. Third, an 18% mandatory breakfast service charge was applied. Given the long wait time, slow service, and low food quality, the overall breakfast experience did not justify an 18% service fee. Finally, at approximately 10:20 AM, while I was still in my room, hotel staff knocked twice and then opened my room door without waiting for a response. The staff stated that I had already checked out. This was incorrect, as I had clearly informed the front desk that I would be checking out at 4:00 PM. This incident was intrusive and concerning from both a privacy and security perspective.

This hotel is very good. Very professional staff, everything fine with the room, excellent location, quiet place.

From the moment we arrived, the in-person touch at Taj Hotel truly stood out. The reception team was warm and welcoming, and Soukaina deserves a special mention. She greeted us with such a sincere smile and genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. Our room was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and furnished with unique, tasteful pieces that gave it character. The beds were extremely comfortable, and despite being just steps from Union Square, the room was wonderfully quiet. The location could not be better. Macy’s is right there for shopping, Starbucks is just downstairs, and everything in Union Square is within easy walking distance. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee and pastries — such a thoughtful gesture that made mornings feel relaxed and special. There is always someone at the entrance opening the door and greeting guests warmly. That consistent personal attention makes a difference. The hotel’s modern, sleek interior design feels refined without being cold. The Indian cuisine in the restaurant is excellent, and the bar area is stylish yet comfortable, a great place to unwind. This is not a generic, cookie-cutter hotel. It has personality, warmth, and soul. What truly brings us back, though, is the people. The staff genuinely go above and beyond, and that human touch is what makes this place exceptional.

hotel was centrally located and well kept and room was spacious. however, i won't stay here again because, despite having a Do Not Disturb sign on my door and notwithstanding my repeated instructions not to enter my room, hotel staff entered my room for "wellness checks"

We stayed here earlier this month (Jan 2 to Jan 4) and ran into a safety issue that almost ruined our vacation, that I want other travelers to be aware and careful of. The headboard of the bed is inexplicably designed with an extremely sharp and hard corner right above the pillows. See picture. My 15-year old flopped down on her pillow, misjudged it by an inch, and almost cracked her head open. She ended up sleeping in most of the next day, so she probably suffered a minor concussion. We were staying in a Campton 1 Bedroom Suite. Our friends were in a regular room and they said their bed did not have this flaw. I spoke with the manager the next morning (an Indian gentleman who's name I forget) and he said he will look into covering the corners with a rubber corner guard or some other solution. If they post a picture of the solution this weekend in response to this review, I will bump up my review to 5 stars, because it means they followed through, and also because other than this critical issue, we were happy with our stay.

This is a lovely, well done hotel conveniently located right at Union Square. The rooms are comfortable, large and well appointed. The bar and bartenders were fabulous. One star less relates to the restaurant and our morning breakfast. The staff was disorganized. The food tasty but quite expensive for the offerings.

At the first sign of the sink erupting I called the desk and was assured of an immediate response. About 1 hour later a fellow showed up and worked on it for almost two hours. He was unsuccessful. The sink kept erupting and overflowed in the morning, I called the desk again. I was delayed when another team finally resolved this issue. An experience far from what I was hoping for at a '5 star' hotel
