The Condado Plaza Hotel

The location is wonderful

It was showing its age and was looking like it needed a lot of repairs. We’ve stayed there a few other times and some of the restaurants and other things were closed.

The view was amazing, the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, the shower was great, grounds were lovely, the pools were clean and the staff was very helpful and nice.

There was only a small lamp to light the room at night and coffee in the room was never replenished. I had to ask for cups and no water bottles were supplied in the room. That being said, I would rebook this hotel in a minute because overall these are small things and this place is truly awesome. :)

The dirty bathroom glass doors issue the hotel has, not many options to compensate me, and right now the release the hold and jace not charged my account accordingly. This last one may cause me issues if any other items come in. I will never stay there again. Very bad and stressful experience.

From the moment you arrive, the property feels dark, outdated, and poorly maintained. The exterior signage looks worn and dirty, and the drop-off area is uninviting. The biggest issue is the smell. The lobby had a strong odor that resembled sewage. The air felt damp and stale, and it immediately raised concerns about cleanliness throughout the property. When I went up to a friend’s room, I saw visible mold on the curtains, grime in the bathroom, and a shower that did not feel sanitary. The shower floor had visible grime and buildup, and the overall condition made it feel unsafe to use without shower shoes. The balcony was worn, the railings were rickety, and there was mildew throughout the space. When I later checked into my own room, I saw similar issues: mold, mildew, and visible dirt and deterioration. The shower floor again had noticeable grime, and the setup of the room was also concerning, including a coffee station placed inside the bathroom area, which felt unhygienic. Within minutes, I went back to the front desk. What was most concerning is that the staff acknowledged the condition of the hotel, including the odor and that the property is outdated and in need of renovation. I was told I could leave without being charged, which I did immediately. I relocated to the Hilton Garden Inn San Juan Condado across the street, and the difference was immediate. It was clean, bright, and well maintained. The staff there, especially a manager named Keisha, were incredibly helpful and turned the situation around. The condition of The Condado Plaza Hotel reflects serious issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and basic standards, and raises concerns about potential health and safety violations. I would not recommend staying at this property.

Great Trip. Hotel staff very nice & great location on Condado Beach. My older teens can't wait to go back. It was a winning vacation. Hotel is ocean front. The beach in front of the hotel is small, but the ocean is calm. It's in a cove area (many other areas of Condado the ocean is too rough to swim due to rip currents). Hotel has 2 pools. One with a waterside & swim up bar and another with a salt water pool with a hot tub next to it. Food at the pool was good & staff was great (shout out to Gabbie). The Condado Plaza also has a breakfast coffee shop which had yogurts/breakfast sandwiches in the morning, a store with souvenirs/snacks/drinks, an inside hotel bar area that opens at night and a Starbucks right outside (a Bonus for the kids). This hotel is connected via sky bridge to the Hilton Garden Inn (which looks like it was renovated within the last few years). The Hilton Garden Inn has a restaurant that serves breakfast (Ohrno Barbacoa Modena) and another restaurant that we had dinner outside (Azahar Modern Tasca). Both were good. The Condado plaza hotel is in a great location with amazing ocean views. You can easily walk to restaurants (Havana was great) or if you don't feel like walking ubers were easy to get and normal prices. All the hotel staff are great too. I was a tad bit nervous staying here after reading other reviews as it's an older hotel. The hotel doesn't have room service & elevators can be slow. As other's have mentioned the bathroom also has the refrigerator and safe in it. It's a little odd location but you get used to it. I heard the hotel is slated for a refurbishment at some point but I would definitely stay here again in its current state due to staff, location at calm beach, easy walking to restaurants, comfy beds, great views, available adjoining rooms & close uber rides to Old San Juan and airport.

Location and pool were great

Was supposed to have 2 rooms with balconies and we’re not given a full balcony like our friends did that booked directly with the hotel

Will come back and stay here in ever in PR again. Loved the option of pools and lagoon. The views were amazing. Staff was great. Location great. It might be a little rundown but most hotels are. I’m not picky though!

The breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from. The food was delicious.

We were very satisfied with everything.
