DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis Downtown

Friendly team, we had the valet service and was great! Clicked a link on your phone to request the car and by the time you go downstairs it was there! We needed to do some laundry and was an easy process. Was in the middle of everything and in walking distance to iconic locations like Beale St. Would stay again!

The elevators were down the entire time I was there. There was only one working and that was only MOST of the time. Valet was a complete mess. So many of us were waiting and waiting. I understood the high volume of customers and busy weekend but there was no organization at all . My check out day I called ahead to get my car and they pulled it around . But when I went to get the key . Nobody knew initially who had it then several people went into the office but nobody brought the key out until finally a woman came and the man told her I needed my key when he could have given it to me the entire time.

The location was great for what we were trying to do. Valet team were nice.

The front desk needs to explain the amenities to all guests. I had to figure out about room service and breakfast. This information should have been part of check in.

It was so hot in the lobby and definitely not like the pictures . One elevator working for 10 floors and I just had knee surgery so had to wait in the heat at least 10 minutes each time for the elevator because I can’t take the stairs

I complained about my air not working from the time I checked in up until 2:30 in the morning. Two maintenance men came to reset thermostat and one left a blower in room and said he would check on us and if it didn’t fix move us to another room. We got neither. I have never stayed at a Hilton with should bad service and in the middle of a heat wave at that.

The staff was nice

The carpet was soaking wet & you could smell it throughout the entire room. The bathroom toilet was broken. Water ran in it all night
