DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis Downtown

Trevor did an outstanding job checking our car in valet. He was very welcoming and had a great disposition. We felt confident our vehicle was in good hands.

No remote in room, the water level in the toilet was low not enough to flush . Had to call maintenance. Nothing fancy or exciting about the room.

It was an amazing experience

Great location. Clean. Comfortable bed.

We were given a room with a bad view and strange glass — possibly opaque or else so dirty on the exterior you couldn’t see through it. Also it was small and strange layout. I’m a genius level on Booking.com and a Hilton Gold member so I expected to have been given a better room.

Updates are still being made, but the staff was amazing! Food in the restaurant was freshly made (ie biscuits from scratch) and delicious!

We had experienced a couple of issues due to the Tour Operator booking with the hotel The Hotel Receptionist “Taj” her customer service was 100% real credit to the Doubletree her knowledge was very helpful in enjoying our stay …shes a VAlUABLE asset to the Group

After being let down at the very last minute by another hotel we had booked with we went to this hotel to see if they could accommodate us at such short notice for 3 days. Thankfully they were able to help us. We were served by Mica ( I hope I have spelt her name correctly :) ) who was professional and very polite. We were given two warm cookies and two bottles of water. The room was very nice and comfortable. I was, however, rather surprised that there was no safe in the room.

A mini fridge would have been nice

This hotel is incredibly run down and I was treated rudely at the front desk for simply, and very nicely, asking for a bottle of water. My room smells musty, an assortment of old, worn, strange furnishings - all of which I could overlook of it weren’t for the deteriorating bathroom. I won’t describe it, the photos tell the whole story. This hotel needs renovation, or lose its franchise. I stay at many Hilton properties and while this wasn’t the worst I’ve seen (Portsmouth RI airport Hampton still holds that honor) this is among the worst.
