Residence Inn Indianapolis Airport

The rooms appeared to have been recently renovated/redecorated. The sofa and bed were both very comfortable. The rooms had 2 giant TVs, and the kitchenette was very nice.

The bathroom door and the bedroom doors did not shut all the way. With the bedroom door, the plate on the door frame was off set from the mechanism on the door, meaning you had to hold it closed or else the door would pop open. The bedroom doors would not shut all the way, so there was a gap. Since the pool area was under construction, we were allowed to use the pool at the Fairfield next door, which was very considerate. However, the pool was frigidly cold, as though the heater was turned off (or there isn't a heater).

The staff at the Residence Inn was outstanding. The rooms were clean and very spacious! The staff was very friendly, engaging and helpful. A special shout out to Rachel who provided an excellent recommendation for dinner and was very helpful with a FedEx shipment that was sent to the hotel. Thank you Rachel.

It was unfortunate to learn that the pool was out of commission after we got there. Would have been nice to know ahead of time since we had our kids with us. Fairfield pool next door was okay, but wife and I were looking forward to the hot tub at the Residence.

First off the pool was being removed and there was no discount for that. My kids were not able to connect to the wifi and staff didnt know why or how to fix it. Maintenance came in and fixed a leak in one of the bathrooms causing us to have to leave the room because I have a child that loud noises bother as well as power tools. There was no offer of a different room or a discounted rate for the disturbance. There was not enough parking for guests to where we had to park in handicapped parking one night. We asked for trash bags for the bathroom and was told there weren't any. We needed more towels and wash cloths and was told there weren't that many to give. We had to leave every day just so my kids could have a decent time. We had to eat out daily because the pots and pans are old and rusted. There were baby spoons to use. The bathroom where the leak was supposedly fixed was stopped up when we returned and at first we were told there was no plunger then one was brought to us. The website did not provide info of pool closing when making reservations but they still charge as if it is open and available.

We were in town for my daughters cheer competition and we got to the hotel to check in and the women behind the desk said they tried to contact me (which they did not) but that they had given my suite to somebody else. Then we had to walk across the parking lot to the next hotel to use their pool because our hotels pool was under construction which was not brought to our attention prior.

Very professional, friendly, and welcoming front desk staff!!! King suites are very nice, spacious, and more importantly...CLEAN!!! I'm in the airline industry, and with all of the convenient household amenities/appliances these particular rooms are equipped with, this hotel definitely feels like a home away from home! I sincerely appreciate the front desk for retrieving my new gloves I had just bought that I thought I lost somewhere out in the hotel parking lot!!! Kudos to the entire Residence Inn team for revamping this location!

The pool was closed for renovations which we weren’t told about upon booking or prior to arrival. Their solution was that we could walk to the hotel next door in 20 degree weather in the snow to use the neighboring hotel pool. No partial refund was offered.
